Okay, I finally showed Husband everything that I wanted to get, and how much we're in for. He got the pained look on his face again. I pointed out that I have not purchased any new clothes, makeup or beauty products for the last several months (I used to sell makeup/beauty products and have promised to use up the things I bought for myself); I'm really rather low-maintenance. ^_^

 

He sighed and said that he'd be happier if we dropped a thing or two, but said that I could get them if I wanted to. After much consideration, I still dropped the Heroes and Villains (he said we don't really need a gelatinous cube; I beg to differ) to make him happy (though again, I plan on adding those back on when I hopefully get a job).

 

So, I'm reasonably happy, and he's reasonably happy (given that all this time he's thought we were just getting the core...), so overall win for both of us! ::):

Hey, did yall know that the adventuring party is a mix of sculptors? Fighter was sculpted by Bobby Jackson, the archer is a Werner Klocke, rogue by Gene Van Horne, Jason Wiebe did the cleric and the mage is Bob Ridolfi. Julie Guthrie is the genius behind the dragon. Bob Ridolfi is also responsible for the ruins.

 

I love collaborations! All of the figures are amazing! Thanks to all of the sculptors who've worked on this whole project! You all are appreciated and should be proud! ::):

 

 

Agreed! And it's neat to know they're all from different people! That is just awesome! I'm so excited!! =D

@OneBoot: I'm glad you've achieved that level of harmony.

 

I'm putting in more than I expected. Normally my wife is my 'brakes', in a good and reasonable way. This time, I showed her what's in the KS and what I wanted to get. She was as excited as I was. Suddenly I'm pledging even more.

 

I'm not entirely sure how I'll feel about the money spent after the fact, though I know I'll be excited by the time the minis come, and the financial problems will have come out in the wash long before then. But yeah, I've got to pick up an extra short term contract or something...

I woke up this morning, flicked my iPad on, and within 10 seconds of looking at the Kickstarter page it ticked over to $2,850,000 to unlock Khanjira. Then only seconds after that to have an update from Reaper too. I'm going off for breakfast now, I expect you all to have Dragons Don't Share for me to drool over and boggle at the next goal when I return!

If you aren't doing it already, I highly suggest everyone keep posting about this on their social networks and other forums! I've been spamming my twitter followers and G+ friends for the last few days. Hopefully some of them have joined in on this with us.
