I'm in Wave 2 core because I waited a full hour before checking out the KS, and the last Early Bird pledges were *just* going -- 9 when I tried to join, none by the time I finished clicking. It looks like buglips and I hit at the exact same time and had the same experience.

 

I sulked a small amount very briefly, then figured I actually had it not bad. I have not remotely been tempted to try to switch my pledge those times an Early Bird opening came up, since the loss of a Wave 2 would be rough.

Tension is killing me. No, not the Kickstarter. Seeing how long my wife is away before my dealing baby elf princess Arwen transforms into Lorelei Banshee mode. Should have given her a middle name based on a famous mime.

Hey - I just noticed that they added the figure ID number to all the images on the main Kickstarter page!

and those ruins ... wow ...

For what we get, it hits 'wow' level but I have a nit to pick. I like them, definitely good enough to put on the table, but like Mashaff's underbelly, there are spots that look too much like the putty they were wrought from, most noticeable the Crumbling Tower Ground level.

 

 

But maybe I'm picky about terrain. The first thing i noticed about the kaiju's base was how the cyclopean* wall's cut looks off because it does not look like separate stones along the cut edge.

 

*IIRC there was a masonry style closer to this than cyclopean, but the name escapes me.

I'm currently sitting on exactly my budgeted $400, split between two accounts of $200 each for tax reasons. I MIGHT decide to take shipping out of budget if I really need to but I'm quite happy that I seem to have gotten it about right this year.

I feel like a jerk, but I think I may want more bases, but I'm not pledging because I want to see details first. Like, are the 1" bases really as useful as 2" bases if I don't want to cut the broccolis or have overhang? I feel like I'm preventing massive unlocks with the $20-$40 I'm holding back on. SORRY GUYS.
