I was so hoping for an orc with a pie at $3,141,592. Do you think that Bryan can count as close enough to an orc? He has the right number of arms and legs at least!

 

But that was a great Kickstarter, I enjoyed following it from the beginning rather than just hopping on at the end last time. And thanks to OneBoot for all the updates too!

The one negative in all of this $3 mil stuff is that there will not be frilly dress photos now.

i'm sure I remember someone saying they'd wear a dress if it didn't hit $6m...

 

That's half the reason I make predictions. The other reason is so people can feel better about a low-funding Kickstarter by laughing at me and my ridiculous predictions.

 

(But seriously. Over 6 million. I bet a picture of me in a frilly dress on it.)

Well, I'm back from supper. That looks like it was fun.

 

Congrats to Reaper on another highly successful Kickstarter. You seem to have planned it very carefully and carried it out with aplomb.

Uhh, they gave us the colossal fiendish spider even though we didn't meet its pledge total. That seems pretty thanks-ish.

 

On the whole Reaper is very good to its customers.

Being pedantic (and not complaining), they agreed to sell us the spider (at cheap KS prices) even though we didn't meet its pledge total. The folks demanding free stuff may be pouting because the last addition to the Core was the basilisk about 30 hours ago and the last addition to the expansion sets was about 8 hours ago.

Yeah, I understand the sentiment Ted Kord is expressing. I feel a little ambivalent. I was kind of hoping for a little free bonus cherry on top. But at the same time, you can't argue against the value for all they've already placed in the core set; and every little drop they place into the core set is a strike against the bottom line, regardless of how much the total works out to be. On top of that, despite the fact that the options do have a cost associated to them, they're such a steal that I think it's right to view it as a kind of gift. Also, the Tarrasque and the Dragon's Don't Share are so damned awesome that when I think of them, any shred of disappointment is wiped away.
