sadly I couldn't afford shipping on Khanji and the Dragon's Don't Share, so I had to settle for Dragons, it just looks way too amazing to pass up.

But it was named Dragons Don't Share II - where did I miss Dragons Dont Share 1?

Question: I remember reading Reaper will make more LTPKs. Is that a true or false memory? Will I ever be able to get a hold of LTPK2

I believe it was Bryan answering a similar question in the Kickstarter comments, saying that they are having problems getting the brushes for the LTPKs.

I'm going to ask a small favor here. Could some of the forum members whose days are not nearing the end maintain a presence over on the Kickstarter comments to help those with questions. I imagine the official reaper peoples will be unconscious before long, if they aren't already. A few people keep dropping in from time to time trying to figure things out. Mostly it's just amatter of telling them to wait for the pledge manager to go live

One of Reaper's very earliest dragon dioramas. It was a limited run, and goes for several hundred dollars on the secondary market.

Thanks for the response.

Can anyone give me a rough idea for how good a deal the mini case is? I estimated they're maybe about $10 more than if I made my own with egg crate foam and a tool or hobby box, and maybe $10-20 less than similar items currently in stores. But I could be way off. I picked one up in my pledge, but I'm debating getting a second.

Depends on the glue. There's a thread around here about the cases from KS1. KR uses cardboard cases, but use the site's store finder to find a FLGS and look for yourself. Plus, no waiting a year to get one!

Don't buy a miniture case. Order the right thickness of pick n' pluck foam online and then find a tool box at home depot for under ten box.

Woohoo! First of all, huge thanks to OneBoot for the digests, LadyStorm and the rest of the mod team for keeping this Kaladrax of a thread under control, ReaperBryan for the sacrifice of his sleep and sanity for the cause, Reaper for the Kickstarter, and everyone who's been posting about it for the past 3 weeks!

Now, on to the important stuff... does anyone remember a certain rash prediction I made awhile back?

The one negative in all of this $3 mil stuff is that there will not be frilly dress photos now.

Yes! I escaped!

The one negative in all of this $3 mil stuff is that there will not be frilly dress photos now.

WRONG! We get one frilly dress because I believe the amount stated was 4-6milly and not 3. Most of us knew it would hit 3 or be VERY close to it.

Well, my names not mentioned and surely no one will go back in the thread to look for it now. My dignity is still intact.

The one negative in all of this $3 mil stuff is that there will not be frilly dress photos now.

i'm sure I remember someone saying they'd wear a dress if it didn't hit $6m...

Starting to get slightly nervous, but surely no one wants to see an aging geek in a dress...

That's half the reason I make predictions. The other reason is so people can feel better about a low-funding Kickstarter by laughing at me and my ridiculous predictions.

(But seriously. Over 6 million. I bet a picture of me in a frilly dress on it.)

:devil::devil::devil:

CURSE YOU ONEBOOT! I should have known that if there was one person likely to be able to sift the chaff of this thread for the precious wheat of my embarrassment, it'd be you!

Laoke owes us a dress picture

Yeah, I do.

It's just gonna be a rubber ducky in a dress. /sadtrombone

... you know, I hadn't even considered that.

...till now.

Didn't someone else mention something about a dress..

If noneone rememebs that's cool. I'll just be over here... not posting any dress pics.

Yes, but to protect the innocent and save someone else from it, I'll jump on the dress wearing grenade. Just gimme a day or two to find something appropriate.

I'm thinking sequins myself, if I can manage it within budget...

ALright. Since this topic is mostly quiet I think I'll wander over to where I can get some advice on painting. I need some solid advice on using washes highlights and shadows, dry brushing. I have some serious skills to work on to bring my painting to the next level.

I would, but it's 10:30pm here, and I still haven't made dinner yet (we're graduate students, we have bizarre hours ::P: )

Okay, so total damage was $200 exactly (had further discussions with Husband, which boils down to I love him and want to stress him out as little as possible; there's always the Pledge Manager!). We're in for:

--Core set

--Narthrax

--Water elementals

--Master Series Paints 2

--Khanjira

--Dragons Don't Share II

I had to let go of the Gelatinous Cube, which made me cry inside, but I'll get over it. Ultimately, while I was extremely happy with KS 1, as time has gone on and I've seen the really big sculpts in person and seen them painted up, I'd always been a bit envious and very regretful that we hadn't gotten any of them (didn't realize how badly I'd get bitten by the figmentia bug!). We were focused on usability in games for KS 1, and while a ginormous skeletal dragon with a five-foot long tail is super cool and all kinds of impressive...he's not terribly practical for use in games.

But! It was different this time!! We got all of the biggies this time around, except for Mashaaf and Verocithrax (which I'd love to get eventually, but they're not as big of priorities), so my coveting of giant sculpts has been satisfied. ^_^ I am now a very happy OneBoot!! :bday:

@Laoke - MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!

*ahem*

I mean, um...no actually, I meant just that.

Huzzah!
