Bones Kickstarter #2 Discussion

I must not think about the ability to add to my pledge up to 31/12. This could get very messy very quickly as my French family (mere, grandmere et papi) always give me cash for Xmas.

Oh cool! I was going to ask about that, on if there had been any news. So..does it pull the funds immediately? Or is it waiting until the deadline to pull

those funds?

I think that your funds from during the KS are now with Amazon and have been drawn and will go to Reaper soon. However you have till 31/12 to ADD to those funds and confirm your pledge. Once you close your pledge and from 31/12 no changes to pledges or additional purchases can made. The only changes that can be made after the 31/12 are to your shipping address / contact details.

Well, it's official. I've spent enough to get one of literally everything offered. The case money will go toward bases, though.

I've got just under a year to whittle this pile of 20 down to 20 or less before the next pile of 20 shows up. It's gonna be a busy year!

We all only have 20 miniatures! I think we determined that last time didn't we? As a way to evade admitting we have too many minis. You never have more than 20 not matter what others say. I should try that on my gaming group and see if they will go with it.

One will considering I asked if he would put a character in a suit of armor made of bacon to fight a werewolf. He said yes and when one of the others suggested using his character that is partly insane and deals massive damage, he said that would be cheating for the dare. Dang KS comments. I now want to put the scenario down to see if he can survive, but how to do the rules for the encounter...

Arkady: From what I've seen of finished bones minis (and those are from the Kickstarter last year ... I can imagine they have refined a couple of things since then) I'd say yes. There is a lot of (spikey) detail on some of last year's Pathfinder minis ... only thing that I can see as a problem is that the bones material bends easily.

My Cthulhu base has a weird shape to it, and I'm not sure if it's a warp or just strange molding. It almost has a sort of lump deformity on the underside. I boiled the ever livin' heck out of it today and did an ice dunk. While better, it's still got enough deformity to make fitting the legs troublesome

Would you say that it folds into angles and dimensions outside the understanding or experience of man or goblin?

There are lots and lots of threads about all aspects of Bones in the Bones Miniatures &Legendary Encounters room.

Some people have expressed appreciation of the bendy nature of Bones because it makes moving things out of the way to paint behind them easier. It is definitely different from metal and needs different handling.

I know, but that's exactly why I'm asking. I feel most of that looks a bit too soft in Bones. But maybe that's just a matter of personal tastes/having handled one too many Heresy ogres lately. :poke:

My funds were pulled when the KS closed, is there any way for me to add more now?

I gather the pledge calculator we've been using will become a pledge manager after the project finishes like last time. So you'll be able to record there what you pledged for and if you want anything more you add that to the pledge and they'll invoice you for the extra cost.
