Bones Kickstarter #2 Discussion

Once Kickstarter and Amazon hand the money (minus their 10% cut) over to Reaper, Reaper will adjust the pledge manager so you can add more funds and lock in your pledge.

It usually takes Amazon/Kickstarter about two or three weeks after the finish of a Kickstarter to hand over the money to the project, so my guess is it is going to be at least that long before you can add more to your pledge, maybe a bit more if Reaper has to tweak its database and pledge manager.

The thing to do now is relax, be patient, and not fret.

Ladystorm,

Cool, that seems like a good solution/compromise. Now I just have to go figure out how to add something to my sig. :)

Upper right, click on your username drop down menu. Choose "My Profile", then in the upper right of that page click the "Edit My Profile" button. On the next page there will be a sidebar menu on the left; choose "Signature" and type in the text box on the page that comes up.

One thing I'm surprised I didn't see in the kickstarter was a holiday themed set. Santa, Krampus, Snowmen, Psycho, etc I thought would be neat as people would get sets to paint up and give away. I also thought we might see some that were targeted more to non gamers as the price point is low enough to market toward kids (they are impact resistant as well). I'm glad the mouselings were added though I didn't get any yet.

I'm just getting back into painting, after 20 years away. I've picked up a handful of the KS1 retail, and love them. And I've gotten the LTPK1&3 as my "budget getting back into it".

Question: I remember reading Reaper will make more LTPKs. Is that a true or false memory? Will I ever be able to get a hold of LTPK2?

True. The main problem seems to be problems with getting a hold of brushes. Changes in the laws regarding the import of sable seem to have created short falls in various places.

edit: Someone beat me to answering. That's what I get for sleeping instead of hanging out on the forums.

So, I gotta say - I'm not getting Caddireth. For 15$, I'd rather get another Nathavarr... I don't know if Nath will even be available via the boneyard, and 100+ is more than I'd be willing to drop on a dragon even if it comes with sick terrain. At this point, I am all about something business majors call "opportunity cost" - what potential you give up to get something - and I'm willing to bet that OC on Caddi is higher than OC on Nath.

BUT! I am super-psyched that Caddireth is gonna be in Bones. She was one of the first models I was hoping for, back when someone suggested her 500-odd pages ago. I will buy her, definitely - just after she comes out; I'm gambling that she'll rise in price less than a dragon would. But that doesn't mean I'm not thrilled that I'll have the opportunity! Same with the Peryton, BTW - gorgeous art so far, one of my favorite monsters, gonna be the avatar of one of the gods in my homebrew setting (the Kirin, Goddess of Law). Will buy about all of the peryton, will buy ALL THE PERYTON five when they come out, but I'd rather get another DDSII than a Caddireth and a THANK YOU!

Still, a wonderful campaign. WE DID IT!

I keep thinking about the dragons as well. I'm torn between Nathavarr and Narthrax. The poses on both aren't as static as I see for many of the dragons. Verocithrax is also an interesting figure.

With some of the casting limitations of metal no longer being an issue the sculptors can now bloom outside their usual boxes, when sculpting fresh bones that is. Nathavarr and Narthrax are fresh sculpts and really take flight. :;):

Verocithrax is crazy cool as far as I'm concerned. Something that... off... will do some plenty of insanity damage to my PCs.

Yeah, Warlord is a hard game to get a group for. They havent done the marketing that Warmachine and 40K have but I have heard the hardcore wargame guys mention that they pay it with friends. I think I am going to have to do the same, build a 4x4 in my garage and find some folks on Meetup, luckily Florida has a huge gaming community and I have a big garage and like building stuff.

A garage, in FL? Do you love the heat or something? You could melt bones in there 9 months of the year. I am in St Pete BTW.

I have a lot of hard choices to make. My wife will already look at me with much disapproval at my current $250 number. There are a lot of minis I won't be able to get. My primary wants/needs are minis for playing D&D, and I strongly prefer old school monsters. Right now I am definitely in for core, EX1 and EX2. So that's 200 already. I definitely want the new paints too. I want to get some of the dragons. I can probably creep up my pledge soon, but I need to pick a number that is psychologically similar to 250 so my wife doesn't kill me!

I'm in Tampa! Well. I'm in a small community that is vaguely close to Tampa. The instructions to get to my house include 'Turn right at the feed store.' <_<

And just because he's building it in his garage doesn't mean he's going to play with it there.

Most people won't put the circular saw in the living room for some reason. Stupid societial norms.
