Finally figured out how to make the Kickstarter app let me up my pledge. To an honest guess of what my total pledge will be although I may be underbidding if this continues the way it has been but I want two cores, one core expansion, and one of all the options except the case and paint but double mouselings and triple of the second dungeon decore. Uh. I think I still underbid. Crap. Maybe I should just sign my card over to Reaper.

The thing I'm worried about? That the 'cool' stuff, like the figures with bases, will come out, but they'll do so in limited edition resin. You know, like the Kraken or the old 'evil Warlord' where they only made so many, charged a mint for him because his detail was so fine it could only be cast in resin? This would be the reverse.

That's *definitely* the risk of this KS. From the last KS, we had five or so "miscasts" which, thankfully, weren't add-ons. Reaper says they will replace defective parts, or issue a gift certificate.

Y'know, because if the kraken were to miss a nose... :D

Anyway, someone asked for bookcases, and Showcase Terrain sells them prepainted! : http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/281144400557?lpid=82

No, there's no risk to this KS it's just some of us would like to see Reaper continue to make Metal models for example and I'm worried that some of the cooler looking figure's we're seeing now that don't currently exist in Reaper land in metal, will come out not in metal, but limited edition resin for premium prices. I know I'm not the only one who buys the metal versions of the figures.

Sorry if that didn't make sense as I originally typed it.

All of this talk made me realize I still had a credit from the small omission from the KS1 shipment...I went and got a few things, and then realized I only had a little more before I got free shipping...let's just say I filled in some of the things I failed to get from the extras of KS1...damn it all Reaper, I wish you weren't so freakin' awesome.

I'm sorry... Did you not notice that the Core Expansion was given the designation of #1? That to me implys that there will be more Core Expansions. Subsequent CE may be given designators such as #2, or B, or Awesome... You get the idea.

Except for the ones that would be impossible in metal (due to sheer size), I cannot imagine Reaper doing this. They're too good to their customer base for that. Furthermore, they would actually make less money that way. Finite money from a LE run is almost always less profitable in the long run than potential infinite money from a regular run, since they can keep spinning new figures on-demand as needed.

I'm now at nearly double what we pledged for KS 1.

I think I should probably stop now. At least, until the next awesome shiny comes out. Also, I realized that I could get a case for $30, or 13 more minis for $50 (the core expansion). Eh, I can always just use shoeboxes and plastic tubs. ::D:

EDIT: Okay, this KS is being called "The Return of Mr. Bones." So...where the heck is the Mr. Bones mini?! WAAAAAAAAANT

Huzzah!

It wasn't the image you wanted, it wasn't the image you needed, but it was most definitely the image you deserved.

I know. I actually love this company. In part because of this awesome board but also for Bones and the creativity I've discovered in myself from having a giant box of unpainted (and unwanted) kickstarter minis that stared at me until I picked up a paintbrush. Hard to overstate how happy that made me. I've actually regretted not going in for more during the first kickstarter (I was pretty sure I would regret buying any when I hit the pledge button originally) when I wantch people here painting a dozen zombies and I decide to paint mine and realize (after much digging through my Bones drawer) that I really truly only have four. I am determined not to make the same mistake this time.
