Bones Kickstarter #2 Discussion

I've been checking around and haven't found where the kickstarter #2 is going to be cast. Is the work going to be done in China again?

It's mentionned in their Kickstarter page FAQ.

 

Are these models produced in the US?

 

During our last Kickstarter we unveiled our plan to begin production of Bones in the US. Currently we have our first machine and molds with more molds on the way. We’re learning the fundamentals of injection plastic production. While we are off to a good start, we’re not up to speed yet. We still lack both the expertise and the number of machines it would take to fulfill this project.

To put this into perspective, with only one machine it would take approximately 650 days (running 24 hours a day) to produce our last Kickstarter. That is almost two years! This is further compounded by the fact that our machine is not large enough to produce large models like Kaladrax.

Production in the USA is a high priority goal!

You can up your bid, no prob. Just click on "manage your pledge" and change the dollar amount (don't change the "reward selection").

Does anyone have a scale for Blightfang? At the moment my add-ons will be Kraken, Gelatinous cube (just cause it swallows characters), and Blightfang!!!!

Yay, I love the Sylvan creatures! <3 They're my favorites so far. I'm still holding out for some hags or nagas!

 

Also, is the guy on the top right a new sculpt or an existing one? I love his "come hither" pose. It tickles me.

 

I assume you are still talking about the Sylvan group when asking about the figure in the top right. And by "guy" and "his", I assume you mean "girl" and "her". In which case, the answer is "existing sculpt" and she is "a sylph that is part of the Warlord range" (sku 14552).

 

Pretty sure they mean the guy in the upper right of the main 30. The one flipping us the bird.

 

In which case, the answer is also "existing sculpt" and he is "Dub Bullock, part of the DHL range" (sku 03026).

 

What else you got?

Thanks. She's much more brown IRL, but I was less concerned about color correction for that shot, and more about speed of upload. While Blightfang is a fairly compact dragon, she is incredibly heavy for her size (in metal) and quite a lovely dragon. IMO, at $10, she is a complete steal ($90 retail in metal).

Still not seduced. I've got the Derro already. I'm not complaining. After the kickstarter, I can pick and choose any of the beautiful big models and buy them at a reasonable price.

I wouldn't put it past Bryan that the reason Reaper crated this specific stretch goal, was so this poster could be created....

So I'm just getting to the forums, having jumped in on the KS this morning in the second wave. In one day my pledge went from $100 to $324...which I think took like 2 weeks in the first campaign. Something tells me Kicktraq isn't going to be able to predict this monster.

It's a good time. The next $160K of stretch goals has already been fully anounced, and the level of the next one beyond that is known as well ($1,183K to expand the expansion). With $260K of run room, this seems like a good time for Bryan to sleep.

I was just eyeing those Derro after looking at the great paint job DKS did on them...

$100 for the base set, $50 for the expansion, and $202 $182 for 1 of every add-on (paints and cases included).

 

Total of $352. Yikes...
