My kingom for some Reaperized Bones Illithids!

Oh please! Yes, that'd be awesome. I have a Pathfinder campaign going right now that towards the end will feature these creatures, but don't have ANY minis that represent them yet.

You hear us Reaper? Mind Flayers/Illithids are aaaawsome and would be super cool to have in this KS!

There was an Illithid like creature in the last KS. You can just go buy them now.

There was? How did I miss that? You know the name of it by chance?

Deathsleet. There's a lot riding on those ankles in that Cinder picture. If it comes out like Sleety, it won't stand up.

I thought the same thing about Brightfang. I wonder if they could make round plain bases out of Bonesium? Would they warp?

Blightfang has 3 points of support - front leg, back legs/base, and tail. That one should be good. It's ones with a lot of front/top heavy stuff over narrow supports that become a problem if the plastic is too soft. Even if you securely attach Deathsleet's feet to something, he'll still tip forward at the ankles until he's munching grass. With the tail attached, giving him 3 points, he'll stay up. Stiffer bonesium mix might also help.

But after Sleets and the Jibberjabberwock, I'm skeptical of creatures with a top-heavy pose. Enthusiastic about the sculpt itself, it looks awesome, but concerned about stability when translated to Bones material.

I'm buying excess dragons for my kid's 7th b-day party. I think I'll let his friends come over to paint them and then take them home... that seems like a pretty cool take home toy for a 7 year old.

I love that. What a great Bday party... The kids will go crazy.

I am hoping that Reaper has worked out this problem, based on the experiences with Deathsleet and the Jabberwock. Of course, there is no way for us to be sure until we get plastic in our hands.

The first 29 SKU numbers were pre-Kickstarter Bones. The bathalian wasn't in the last kickstarter.

Yeah, the big dragons don't excite me as much as the odd monsters and low level mooks. But I can understand why there are so many dragons. They are cool. They are a really great selling item in metal, but even better in BONES. It would make sense the Reaper wants to move all the big dragons over into the BONES line.

I like that'll I'll be able to afford some big dragons in Bones - the $50+ metals were just too much and I'd be terrified of screwing up the paint job!

For ten bucks a hit, I am using the Bones Dragons to practice painting big stuff. When I feel more confident, I can buy a big resin or metal dragon and go nuts on some kind o display piece. (Or, more likely, go mad individually shading 10,000 scales)

Okay I was like thinking I was blind, I was looking over the last one and kept looking for him. Glad to know I am not that crazy.

I might have to buy a couple of these at some point, is he the only model out there or are there different versions of the Bathalians?

EDIT: Nevermind I found a few that are on the Reaper site that would be pretty nice to have. I still would love a group of them with this KS though :P

Cinder's ankles are a bit weak in the metal version...

After yesterday's flurry, the counter seems to be barely moving today.

After the tease posted MoneySolth on Aug 16th, the ravaging frothing hordes were assembled for weeks waiting for the gates to open. Then a countdown timer to amp up the already eager supports, and then BAM they hit it like a Tidal Wave at a beachfront resort. Now there is the ebb. It will be interesting to see where we are in 24 days, Shakandara's model seems reasonable.

Buglips I just want you to know that your trial and error has provided me with MUCH enlightenment on how to handle many things. Thank you for pioneering the new frontier of bonesium for us. :)

Deathsleet was probably a production anomaly, since they didn't all turn out that way. Part of the risk of backing a product that doesn't exist yet. I figure bug-finding is part of the job of being in on the first batch. This is, actually, something I wish I had more info on - because if the Deathsleet problem was a production error and future versions will be stiffer and not have the problem, then I could plan to replace it instead of trying to find things to glue the model to.

Good grief. Last project we couldn't wave our arms without hitting somebody complaining because the pledge rate is variable and slows down dramatically in the middle. It's NORMAL, people. NORMAL and EXPECTED. sheesh...

Give us a house and we will woof it is not a castle. The way of the interwebs. :) Loving all the goods so far, Bryan. Hope we see a lot more stretch goals by the end of the month!
