I think Narthrax is a new sculpt. Anyway, if you search "dragon" in the online store it should show you everything currently available. Any being transferred or already transferred from metal to Bones will show up there. Some Bones dragons may be new sculpts, like Kaladrax and Nethyrmaul were last time. Kaladrax was a new version of Kaladrax, who had previously existed in metal. Nethyrmaul was all new, with no preceding version.

I wonder what US based supporters would think of a stretch goal that only paid for international shipping?

I think it was MiniCanuck that raised the posibility a few pages back, but I am quite taken with the idea.

So, what do you US folks think?

I don't think it is a particularly good idea, for two reasons (and no, one of them is not, "screw you, ROW, suck it up and pay your own shipping!":

First, part of the drive for "free" stretch goals is that it provides added value for everyone in the KS. Even if they are figures you don't want/need, they are still worth *something* (as a gift, trade, or sold on eBay). A free shipping for ROW stretch would only benefit ROW (ok, there is an argument that more ROW backers would add more money to the campaign, but it would also require more shipping... vicious little circle there); the US backers (which did make up nearly 75% of the backers last time) would be getting nothing at all for the stretch goal. I think it is a bit of a hard sell.

Second, and probably more importantly, part of the way stretch goals work is by offer additional product (either in more of the same base set, or extending the offering) through collecting additional funds. Essentially, to get to a free shipping stretch goal, more product would need to be produced (which costs more money), without any return. I hope I'm explaining it well. Take this super-simplified example:

Backer A backs at $100 (where Reaper has determined that the $100 pledge is sufficient to cover their basic costs, but not ROW shipping). Backer B doesn't back because shipping is too much. Reaper offers a free ROW shipping stretch goal at $200. Backer B now backs at $100, for a total of $200 in the campaign. Backer B gets free shipping, but Reaper still has to produce 2x the product. Where is the extra money going to come from for the free shipping?

I'm afraid that this sort of approach would require a very large stretch goal to account for all potential ROW shipping costs, without taking a major bite out of Reaper's bottom line.

I obviously have the totally wrong attitude about this. When I logged on to the KS page there wasn't much stuff up. I looked at what was up, and decide "Yep, worth it for me." Then I backed. Everything since then is gravy. I don't care for some of the core add-ons. I didn't care for some of the core add-ons from the first KS, but to my mindset everything after the initial core is "free." So what if I don't have any interest in cowboys, or aliens, or space marines? I'm pretty sure that I can find someone who does, and gift them with a few free minis. Or, maybe trade. My point is, it's "free."

A thousand times, this. I wish more people understood it this way.

Exactly the same here, too. With the added bonus that I like a lot of different types of game, and just enjoy painting for itself, so I can find a use for almost any mini.

As a CDN backer, I have this weird issue with simultaneously paying for shipping as well as having an ever-expanding line of miniatures. It goes like this:

If I increase my pledge for addons, the number of minis I receive increase, which increases the weight and size of the packaging, which increases my shipping fees, which decreases my available funds for addons.

It's really circular. It means I have zero incentive to increase my pledge, as I have a budget. Were my funds limitless, this wouldn't be an issue.

Now you'd be right in saying the increase in shipping fee for 0.05kg is very small, but lots of small makes big.

It's late and my memory is fuzzy... did anyone post a complete list with the initial minis in the Core Set (so one can look them up in the store for larger pictures)?

*de lurks*

I know someone on a different forum I visit found a few of them. Don't know if they got them all. http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?699603-Bones-II-kickstarter&p=17237893#post17237893

*re lurks*

Thanks!

It's a start at least.

If no one else has made a list by tomorrow I'll probably do some detective work and post a list (with links) - not tonight, though, tonight it's game night!

I started going through them last night (since the forums were down). Only had a few left to do in the first 30. I was having a problem finding the very first guy (top left) from the tiny picture. Couldn't find the guy with the sword and holding a helm in the top row either, but just realized that I think he is the 2013 Reaper Con Warlord Tournament fig (can't see the KS pic from work).

Was trying to figure out which rats they were when I got sleepy....

Ok, so I have upped my $1 pledge to $201 to reflect all of my Add-On wants and needs. Well, ok, mostly wants.

However, will the $201 pledge actually stick around? I had upped it to $101 the other day, and when I went to manage my pledge, it showed $1, not $101. What the heck?!?

Oh full blown panic this morning. Have to share.

Started with the basic pledge on Day 1. Held off pledging more because busy, and really unsure that I wanted the add ons. Let it slink around in my mind if I really care about, oh let's say Hill Giants for example (ans: No, but too good a deal not to buy; blessed with agreeable wife and wallet).

So go back thru this morning, and yup, feelings haven't changed. So I'll pledge more to help out in the middle (wait; Day 3 is middle? Quiet you!). Click on the Manage Pledge button, and am greeted by edit my "thanks for your $1 pledge". Wait wait wait. I'm in Wave 2, not some dollar pledge! This can't happen! I have the email to prove it! No No No No NO!!!

Exit back to home screen then back to Manage Pledge, and life is back to normal and the heart rate is rapidly decreasing.

On the plus side, I don't think I'll need any caffeine for a while to be alert.

Did you only up your pledge or did you also select one of the reward tiers?

I only upped my initial $1 pledge. I was not interested in the Core Set, but I am most definitely interested in lots of the Add-Ons. That was my concern since I had upped it to $101 yesterday and when I went to add another $100 to my pledge, it showed only $1. I guess ultimately it does not really matter so long as Reaper allows me the opportunity to buy all of the Add-Ons I want at the end then life is grand. ::):

It's heavily skewed right now, though. But some factors might be working here. Like with the mouslings. They might have eaten up a bunch of "dudes prolly don't want these" slots, so we get guys dressed like castles or not-Skeletors.

Wait. WHO THE HECK DOESN'T WANT MOUSLINGS?!?!?!?

That is Correct. Julie was sculpting Narthrax during ReaperCon last spring. At the time she noted that she was specifically sculpting it to exploit the Bones strengths and avoid its weaknesses. Note the dynamic cupped wings, for instance. That is something that is very difficult to cast in metal, but in Bones it will work fine.

Stormwing is not yet a Bones offering, but is a metal mini that you can currently buy from reaper. It is a classic blue dragon.

Perhaps it would be simpler to make a tag with a Kickstarter logo, Mr. Bones, and the tag "Bones-aholic", or something similar. Otherwise, that badge is going to get awfully crowded when Bones III comes around some day.

That's why I just made it the current Kickstarter. Won't have time to mess with it until tonight/tomorrow morning so we'll see.
