Pledge Calculator/Manager Questions

I have a question about the Pledge Calculator -

I'm new to this - so when I found out there was another Kickstarter, I jumped on it. I pledged my $100 through Kickstarter, and then discovered that there was a Pledge Manager after I had already pledged.

I registered with the Pledge Manager, but it's not showing my previous pledge with Kickstarter on it. If I wanted to add some add-ons (and I do), how should I proceed to make sure that everything is locked in properly?

they are not currently connected to each other.

at this time, the pledge calculator is not a pledge manager.

it is there to assist you in figuring out what you want to pledge.

after the KS ends, it will be toggled over to a pledge manager.

make sense?

No no, pledge money for the things you want in the KS now. Once it's over, you will use the money you pledged to pick which add-ons you want. You can currently use the calculator to figure out how much you need to pledge, based on which add-ons you want, but then you need to actually go pledge that amount in the KS itself.

Are the pledges going to work the same as last time, where you will be able to make fine adjustments at the end to cover an extra mini or other item if you were off a bit or had a last minute change of heart and wanted to add something you were initially going to pass on?

You wil be able to change your selections around until December 31, and can add funds until that time as well.

Since I only got in on the first KS after it ended (got in with the higher amount afterwards), and have pledged already, how does funding work? Do the payments come through on Saturday when the KS ends, or do we confirm our pledge which then submits the payment? I would gather the former, but just want to be certain so that I don't go out and spend the money and have this come out as well.

amazon will deduct the amount you pledged via Kickstarter from your credit card after the Kickstarter ends, that may take a few seconds, but normally it is pretty quick.

Fixed for accuracy

srsly I once got the Amazon email before the 'KS successfully Funded' email

If Amazon's first attempt at the credit card fails, Kickstarter will let you know (with email and a yellow warning bar at the top of all Kickstarter pages). You have about a week to fix the credit card or swap in a new one.

ETA: the past few months, Amazon has generally been about 15 minutes behind Kickstarter for me. For example, I had a project just close at 6 minutes past the hour and received the Kickstarter email almost immediately. It's now 17 past the hour and still no word from Amazon.

ETA2: silly me -- that was a £ project, so handled by Kickstarter internally. That tends to be more like 30 minutes before it hits the card.

Oh, you are right most of the time, but sometimes they take their time.

On Bones I, I think it was a hour or so before it hit the credit card, but that was probably because both Kickstarter and Amazon had crashed fairly thoroughly.

Thank you. I'm about 90% sure of what I want but on the fence in a few spots, plus of course last minute reveals that I may find are must haves.
