BTW, anyone looking for halflings, you can still get in on the Oathsworn KS (it's over, but they are still accepting paypal for folks who missed it) here:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oathsworn/oathsworn-miniatures-heroes

It had quite a number of halflings.

Any idea how long this will be up?

Not sure but you could either message them through kickstarter or through these forums. Jo is "Oathsworn Jo" and Michael (the sculptor) is "Lovejoy".

Or email them at the address on their website (oathsworn.net).

Are the trolls Kickstarter exclusive by the way? I thought it was only the first troll (from the dwarf KS) that was KS exclusive, but now I see that they're selling the gnomes on their website but not the troll from the gnome KS. So how is it with these elven trolls?

From what I understand, only the troll from the dwarven kickstarter was exclusive. None of the other are (too much hassle for storage and not being able to sell them afterwards - nor make more, which limits income because the molds are already made but can't be used).

I suspect that the armored troll just hasn't been put up yet on their website - they only just put up the gnomes.

I really like the look of this KS, but I have a hard time supporting people who haven't supported any Kickstarters. I am probably in the minority, but that's okay.

I do like checking projects backed now and then, but I wouldn't skip a project because the creator doesn't have anything backed. I remember seeing one project that had a $1 pledge they said was just so project creators could create some 'cred' and look like they donate for projects. Also, they could be using a private account for projects they back, and a professional one for their company. Either way, I don't think it should be a deciding factor as anyone could pretend to be a prolific backer and toss a dollar at dozens of projects. People run projects on kickstarter because they need money, if they have thousands of dollars to throw at ks projects maybe they should be funding their own project instead.

Edited to fix the run on sentence.

OK, thanks, that is what I thought, I just started wondering when I didn't see the armored troll up for sale. To be honest I went to check to see what the retail price of these trolls might be... I am quite tempted by them but am leaning towards waiting for retail. There hasn't been any talk of a troll pledge level (the three trolls at a discount), has there? That could probably tempt me into backing.

Exactly. Pledging to support a struggling young (or old) artist sounds alright by me.
