02739: Dire Bat

Recommended Posts

I may need to throw a Skaveling at my Pathfinder players soon, so I bought the Dire Bat.

Just some base coats so far:

The plan is for brown/black fur (darkening towards the tips) and sickly green/pink skin.

It didn't come with a flying base, and my local shop doesn't have any, so I've constructed one out of cardboard, paddle-pop sticks and a wooden dowel:

I'll probably build it up with Green Stuff and paint it, but I'm trying to think of a theme. Any suggestions?

Got any water effects lying around? You can make a clear stand with the stuff. You'll need plasticine or clay or something and just push a pencil into it and pour in a bit of water effects an inch or so at a time. Let it set and keep adding until the mold is full.

Today I worked on the fur and detailed the wings. Still lots to do.

That's a cool idea, but I think I'd rather do something pretty. I'm leaning more towards a pile of bones/corpses.

Piles of bones and corpses are pretty, right?
