Questions About the Kickstarter, now that it is over

I came in way late on this, having been away from the hobby for too long and am confused about the pledge calculator and the wording about "if you missed this project" - I am assuming from this thread and dates mentioned that it is not possible to get in on this anymore, but that makes it sound like I can still pledge, although I will surely be in Wave 222 for delivery. Can a dim barbarian ask for clarification? lol

 

Correct, the project ended on the 26th of October with those of us who did pledge by the end of the Kickstarter being able to change/update our pledge totals (by adding more figures and money to our pledges) being done through the pledge manager which was open until the 15th of January. After that the manager was closed to being able to add anything else for those of us who pledged and is only open now to change our addresses for fulfillment which is slated to start in October of 2014. You'll have to wait until after everyone who pledged in the kickstarter has gotten their things before the figures are available to be purchased at retail online or in store.

For people who missed both of the Kickstarters, there are quite a few Bones available at retail and plans to make Bones Learn to Paint kits.  (Or at least Paizo still allows you to pre-order one.)  With the retail prices being so reasonable, it's not so very bad a situation to be in.

Any word on what happened to that planned update for this Friday?  At this point I'm not sure when to expect the updates to be coming.

The Friday Update delay was 100% my fault - I had some computer problems and had to scramble to get things fixed.  I did not actually get everything going again until about 20 minutes ago.

I can't recall if this has been asked before, though it seems likely it was.  Will Trollslayer Sophie ever make an appearance in metal (or resin)?  Bones plastic has a tendency to soften details, and IMO Sophie deserves sharper detail.

I am unaware at this time of any plan to release TrollSlayer Sophie in metal within the next 90 days, which is as far as the production schedule goes at this time.

There was a "pledge troll" during the kickstarter. A backer who would pledge a large amount of money to bring us over a stretch goal for example, and then reduce his pledge again ... doing this a couple of times.

It was a little worse than that.

 

The Pledge Troll would pledge at a lowish level,  and slowly increment his pledge up to a few thousand over a period of time so it looked like normal traffic.  Then he would either...

 

1.  When we were about to hit a stretch goal,  he'd revoke his pledge causing us to suddenly be far away again.

2.  Just after a stretch goal was hit,  and ReaperBryan posted the update,  he'd revoke his pledge causing us to be below the stretch goal.

 

It was quite infuriating,  and as a result,  Sophie took on new duties as the Troll Slayer!  She appeared to have quite an aptitude for her new job,  as soon after she accepted the position the pledge troll seemed to disappear.  It was best to not ask questions,  her sword is quite large...

They show the prices and then the slightly higher than kick starter prices that you pay. If I checkout and pay $700ish dollars will I be paying and receiving nothing? Since everyone says it is over?

Yes, you are way too late. You cannot join or add onto the kickstarter. You will have to wait until after fulfillment to the backers and the items will be available for general release and purchase. The site you have there is giving you a false positive.

If I remember correctly there is no "resetting" once we pull that last trigger on our pledges, right?  I really regret not getting Expansion X when I had the chance...

Correct.  There is no reset and reallocate, and no new pledges are being accepted.  Pledges are locked at this time and all that can be changed is your address.
