Questions About the Kickstarter, now that it is over

Is the plan to have sculpts completed for the concept art only items before we have to commit our selections? Maybe with size & scale info for the items that don't have it?

All art has been assigned and is being completed as fast as possible - we expect it all to be finished before the Pledge Manager closes, but not 100% will be before the first day that the Manager allows you to lock in .

 

I'm sure we're all wondering if there'll be any fallout from the Kevin White Barbarienne Nipplegate, but most would have the decency not to bring it up. Who is going to lose their job over this? Will there be a resculpt? Can you comment on this at all?

 

More seriously: the core pledge level features a dryad and two kelpies wearing not much at all, Bones I had a medusa and two demonesses (oh, and ghosts and a fire elemental). Is Reaper going to reconsider having nude/topless female monsters in future core sets, just in case people figure out nipples are niples are nipples?

No fallout. Both models are topless - in fact, she is wearing more clothes than he. We repeatedly hear our fans tell us that they have no issue with nudity if the male is likewise situated, and clearly that is not true. C'est La Vie.

What's the scale of the Highlander set? Are they all regular size minis?

 

btw I wasn't in on KS1 and am brand brand new to minis and I am *thrilled* about what I've got coming in KS2 (and am going to add more). I only got into mini painting at all because my son pointed out Bones C'thulu at the nerd store (er, cough, ehem, I mean gaming store) and I HAD TO HAVE ALL OF THEM.

Yes - they are all regular size - she's character sized, the gnoll is along the sizes of our current gnolls, etc. The stone should be a bit bigger than the gnoll.

The art has been assigned to a sculptor but I do not know if it is for Bones or Metal.

 

Right now we are hoping that Bones 1+2 will make Bones self sufficient and that instead of Bones 3 we can grow the line incrementally and focus our KS efforts on smaller projects that we've always wanted to do but could never fund.

 

Not to say we won;t Bones 3, but right now we are planning different projects to launch after fulfillment.

Like launching the game side of your business which I would love to work for? ::D:

 

Real Question. How long can we adjust our rewards in the pledge calculator? Also last time we could add more after the fact will that option be available again?

I'm glad to hear there will be more US molds. Are there plans to use this KS for more molding machines?

Unlike last time, where that purchase was made early, if we do so this time it will be done with the remnants. AT this moment one machine is sufficient for our US production needs, but we hope that that will not be the case for long.

So... on the "Estimated Delivery" of the Waves... Is this a best case scenario date or a worse case scenario date? :P

 

If everything falls in place perfectly is there a chance of of those dates moving up (INCLUDING ESPECIALLY the early bird group!)? My birthday is in June, just in case your wondering. Just kidding. (not really)

 

Seriously, thanks guys! The minis look great. I obviously can't wait to see them in person. Congrats on another successful KS! I had to buy my Bones I box after the fact but am thankful that I was able to participate in the rodeo this time around.

Worst Case (non-catastrophic) scenario. We hope for much faster, but want to be conservative in our estimates. Catastrophic scenarios include sunken ships and are not at this time in our calculations.

 

Who is Peanut in the shipping department?

One of our temps hired to help with Kickstarter fulfillment, she did a great job so we hired her on an ongoing basis.

 

There were some models that didn't translate well to Bones last time. It happens. What's the plan for dealing with a similar issue this time around?

We have tried to reduce the likelihood of this situation by choosing fewer models with similar characteristics, but in the event of the need to do so, the affected models will be sent as rewards as promised and not sold in general release.

 

Just one question:

 

Why are you not resting after all you have done in the last days?

I slept for 16 hours yesterday. But Now I have to organize sending the masters to China for tooling. You guys want fast, fast means no sleep til' Brooklyn.

What´s was the hardest decision on the project? And the biggest surprise? Did the row percentages varied too much respect ks1? Which one is your favourite miniature of the kickstarter? Do you considerer wings for the minotaur demon?

Is the pledge calculator also the double for the "Rewards Survey?" So will the add on to our pledge be open until Dec 31, 2013 and how will we do this? I promised my sweet wife to not go over $40 and then at the end you released DDS2 which would blow my budget. <_< Now I must adjust or come up the cash for DDS2. :zombie:
