Questions About the Kickstarter, now that it is over

Right now we are hoping that Bones 1+2 will make Bones self sufficient and that instead of Bones 3 we can grow the line incrementally and focus our KS efforts on smaller projects that we've always wanted to do but could never fund.

 

Not to say we won;t Bones 3, but right now we are planning different projects to launch after fulfillment.

 

What would a self sufficient Bones line look like? Could we expect new Bones releases every month or two after KS II fulfillment?

Have there been any more sizes listed for some of the stuff in expansion 2?

 

I know we've got a size for the demon lord of minotaurs, but what about some of the other stuff?

 

I'm most curious about the dracolisk, the frog demon, and the shadow demon and hound. Hopefully big and chunky!

 

Also wondering- if you guys are going to be able to get Bones up and running as a self sufficient line, any chance those mysterious hidden stretch goals we never reached might turn up? Will we continue to see bits and pieces of scenery and decor show up?

Shadow Demon's torso is the size of a human torso. The Frog Demon is a 2" Base, Dracloisk is also on a 2" Base. The hound already exists in metal.

Given the fulfillment waves and their projected dates into next year, my wallet is thankful that I'm probably not looking at another Reaper KS in 2014. I know you can't confirm or deny anything with that regard. However, I do have a question.

 

Assuming the Dragon Don't Share 2 was a hit success with regards to pledges during the KS2, would you foresee Reaper releasing a few more of those type of Bones dioramas in 2014?

It would be something we'd like to be doing, yes.

I also want to ask about this, Dragon Don't Share II was my favorite thing from this Kickstarter. I really like that it was in multiple parts that fit together. Is there a possibility of other terrain items that would also fit together with the ones from Dragon Don't Share? It would be nice to have some interchangeable ones.

 

the original DDS? No- that was built with a purely decorative oval base. As for fitting other terrain to this DDS, probably not with the precise interlocking tabs, but compatible with, sure.

 

Can we see the artwork for the planned not-tiamat/takhisis?

 

Should anybody ask how does DR know of such things, it's simple. Reaper loves to give it's customers what they want, and WE WANT A NOT-TIAMAT/TAKHISIS!

Also, how close did the results of this Kickstarter match what you guys had planned?

We will not be releasing any other versions of that yet. Our worst case plan was not to break $1m. after that happened right away, we sat down and developed a new worst case for under $2m. $3-3.5 was our primary goal, so I'd say we pretty much hit it.

quarterly releases most likely. but as for when we'd begin that process, I cannot say it would start right away after KS fulfillment - we need some time for sales to happen.

So, just to clarify, when shipping begins we can expect a "now serving Wave X" update? Will that announcement be for each wave, or will it just be "we have begun shipping" and go from there?

What do you have learned from KS I? And II?

What implementation changes did you do now that we didn´t see in the second KS? (new server, hiring new people, a small bed besides your desk for power naps between stretch goals...)

I'm a ROW backer and will have 2 boxes shipped to me (together with 4 friends). Is it possible to put a declared value of 150$ on one box and (total - 150$) on the other box? Suppose I switch to three boxes, that would be 150$ on two boxes and (total - 300$) on the last.

 

Earlier you told me that you'd divide it 50%-50% or 33%-33%-33%, but since that's not the correct value anyway, I don't think it would make a difference how you divide the amount.

 

That would save us 30$ in handling on each box past the first. We'll live, but it seems minimal effort to avoid this additional cost.

Something I've been wanting to ask since these were revealed... The Lemures and Angels of Sorrow. I've seen these before in resin. I would be most interested in hearing the story of their acquisition. (i'm dying of curiosity but no matter how I type this i can't make it not sound accusatory. sorry. )

During the last KS new metal releases had to cease during the fulfillment of the KS. Do you anticipate a similar thing happening during the fulfillment of this KS next year?

Put me on the list of those of us who appreciate the bases -- so much so that I pledged for a few extra packs. Question: they appear to be similar to bases that WoTC used for D&D minis (flat on one side, with a shallow lip on the other). Are they from the same manufacturer? It won't change my mind either way, I just want to know what to anticipate. The D&D minis bases were fairly rigid, but still a little flexible. How do these compare?

I found out because another KS project postponed their start due to Bones 2. I went back and looked thru all my emails & spam, and I don't see anything... Anyway, thought I'd report it in case you want to survey your Bones 1 backers before you do your next KS.

KS 1 update #99 went out launch day announcing the new KS. Don't know what to say here.

As for repeat, asking how future Ks are formatted May be a tad premature. We new no just sales data but fulfillment reports from the floor to see what our changes impacted.
