Mummy Warriors (77146)

Recommended Posts

Yeah its not always, "ok this mini is complete" as it is "I'm tired of looking at this piece" or "Damn I better work on that order from last year, because I just ordered more!".

I like what you did with these mummies, and the basing goes really well with them.

They look good, but if you're going to use them for Warlord I suggest painting something on them to differentiate them. During the game you'll want to easily be able to tell "this is the one that took a point of damage last round", or "this guy is stunned and can't attack, but these two are going to hit your spell caster".

That's a really good suggestion, thanks. Unfortunately Warlord is in the category of "games I've bought and have plenty of models for but I haven't actually gotten around to playing yet". That category is far larger than it should be.

One step closer to having the full Dungeon Dwellers set finished! I tried a lot of different stuff here, most for the first time! Such as...
      -Full NMM armor
      -Freehand on cloak
      -Painted highlights on liquid
-A unique gem in the shield (Watermelon Tourmaline)
-A tiny bit of OSL on the eyes

My goal here was to push myself to go as fast as possible. Start to finish it took approx. 2.5 hours, which is definitely a record for me. Contrary to my usual practice, I painted the integral base; when I do get around to doing a proper base, I will likely integrate it into the display. C&C welcome.

I recently finished playing Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and felt the urge to paint something piratey.  There is a lot of room for improvement, and I regret my colour scheme (It is lacking a bit of contrast) but I still enjoyed painting this one, I even felt adventurous enough to attempt some weathering on the sword which didn't turn out as horrible as I anticipated.  Overall a good learning exercise.
