Nocturne
It heard me, it bloody heard me say not until December, I just know it!! http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/52186-12-elements-of-war-starting-121-aussie-ks/#entry792254
Suden
This means it's a perfect time to stock up on gaming accessories, like: http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/52152-gamer-gridz-kickstarter/ Also, the Bones II pledge manager will be live soon to eat any spare cash you have.
greyhaze
We're holding off until 2014 for ours, we want to get our rewards out first.
CashWiley
I'm over budget thanks to Kingdom Death's pretty large reveal. I had budgeted for one new sculpt, he drops several plus a couple nice re-releases. For the first time...it's ebay time. I'm still in for the two board games and the Tablewars case, but it's not going to be good for more minis until next year. And I think Tre is planning on another one this month...
galladril
I was gonna say, didn't we JUST have a HUGE KS for tons of minis? I'd be willing to bet that some companies might have actually held off because of Bones 2. I've spent about 10 grand this year on games. My wallet can use the break for a bit...at least until February (DF2). I personally am not unhappy we are in a "minis lull." Arkady
Err, what lull? Just have to learn to cope with IGG and browse the most recent page of threads...
Beagle
Most of those 'new' threads popped up conveniently after I started this one:-)
MonkeySloth
I know several that are starting but I'm tapping out for the year. I'm still in it for Journey and the case but since I friend is getting Shadows of Brimstone I'll probably just add singles to his order. Magnus Mercury
I think most of the mini companies that expect to have big KSs stop around this time of year, simply because it's harder to get money out of us once the Christmas decorations start going up in the stores. It becomes a battle between needing to buy gifts for others that are due in a 7 weeks or less Vs. pledging on toys for ourselves with delivery dates a year or so out. I think this is spot-on. Any Kickstarter campaigns starting now are going to be competing directly with holiday shopping. Plus, anyone who's been watching recent miniatures-related KSes probably knows that some big ones just wrapped up (e.g., Bones II), so even people interested in backing those new projects might not have the funds to do so. Nocturne
Kingdom Death went over the holiday season last year and is one of the highest funded miniature kickstarters and also came on the tail end of the first Bones kickstarter. CashWiley
But Poots dwells in his own plane. For me personally, the minute I heard he was planning a KS, I started a savings fund for it. Not sure how many other companies out there have his kind of...special...followers.
wildbill
I pledge all kinds of things outside of minis and games, so there really is not down time, per se. The only true downtime is when I find cobwebs in ye olde wallet.
Godfather Punk
I'm still in for: Stonehaven Mars Attacks Shadows of Brimstone Journey: Wrath of Demons. That's me, but without the Journey and with a minimum pledge for the Stonehaven Elves. And then, I swear, it's over for a few months.
