In the future society will reorganize itself sensibly and the only thing that is going to matter is how many large plastic monsters you have.

I'm not saying it should be a popularity contest or anything, but, just in case, I wanted to give people a heads up. You might want to be president or something.

I'm planning on, once I confirm lack of toxicity once sealed, converting a Cthulhu into an aquarium air diffuser. Friends of mine are right into their Lovecraft and also have a mighty aquarium that is crying out for some sweet, sweet, Cthulhu lovin'.

The larger figures potentially would work well as bookends, assuming you based them on a heavy block of wood.

Puppets. You'd need to work on the articulation points, but a Punch n' Judy show with Sir Forscale as Judy and Khanjira as the Alligator would be something.

I have noticed two different perspectives among miniature wargamers:

A) "I have an army in mind that want to field, and I will find miniatures to fit it."

B) "I have miniatures I like, and I will find an army in which to field them."

Some people - and some games - tend more toward one or the other, but they are not mutually exclusive, and both are equally valid. So if you really like the thing, and you play Warlord (or Warhammer, or whatever), then figure out something it can "count as", or work out stats for it, or come up with a special scenario, and go with it.

From the RPG side, go with a similar idea. You're probably right that there are only so many Big Monster Boss Fights one a group can have and enjoy, so... make up something else. If the monster's too big, then you had the right idea by thinking of Warlord: it requires an army to fight against it. So maybe the party needs to lead a whole army instead of fighting by itself. Or maybe the goal isn't to kill it: they're captured and thrown into an arena to fight (that is, be eaten by) the monster, but the best outcome for them is to evade and escape.

There are many reasons a monster can reappear for your players to fight, and it can be the very same one each time!

1. Escape (the monster flees or your players do, either way).

2. It's a demon slowly gaining strength enough to attack the players in an attempt to stop them. It dissipates each time they defeat it, but when it reappears later it is stronger and more prepared!

3. Illusion or nightmare. You can stage a fight that the players can't possibly win. They all die.. and then one of them wakes up to realize it was all a bad nightmare. A vision of the future perhaps.

Or forget all that, get 4, and paint each one with a different element in mind and make your players fight all 4 at the same time.

Well one thing I learned from playing World of Warcraft was that it is really fun for the player to get to be/control a big tough monster like a reaver from outlands or a titan. I will design scenarios where they get to play something ridiculous and then tie the results into the story.

Heh, that reminds me, I was thinking about the logistics of having players "telepathically linked" to control a big humanoid monstrocity (played by Cthulhu) as they fight to take down Khanjira, who has risen from the sea to lay waste to civilization. I'll never actually do it, but it's fun to imagine! ^_^

This, this is a great idea. Especially if you have a game world of your own, you can have a massive event that could really shape the history of a nation, or even parts of the world, and can give you characters, both good and evil, that can be NPC's or historical legends in all kinds of other things

Think outside of the box - use the Kaiju for Micro Armor or naval games.

Imagine Admiral Lord Nelson's fleet facing Mashaaf, a creature larger than the combined fleets of England and France....

Need a BIG Chaos spawn for Warhammer or WH40K?

Something extra for a Lizardman army?

Take a look at Kings of War, and use either or both in a scenario.

Use it as part of 2015's Hallowe'en costume. (I plan to use Kaladrax for part of a Wizard costume....) Maybe use Mashaaf as a chestburster.

Or on top of a hat.... Nuthin' says stylin' like a giant maggot on top of your hat.... :B):
