Well, supposedly Prodos are busy cranking out the pledges.

The word is that KS shipping will be out the door mid-month, and that if we haven't received it by EOM February we are to contact them.

I know that I would certainly be thrilled to find my pledge on my doorstep come mid-month!

I bought this game at retail at PAX South on Sunday.

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the minis and the gameplay, if you've had a chance to play yet.

I have opened the box and the models look fantastic, but I won't be assembling them until this weekend. I can post pics to WIP if you want.

always great to hear a kickstarter product hits retail before backers have it.... :(

As I understand it this was announced early on to be part of the plan (Not having been a backer, I am unsure) and that legal/contract reasons required them to make it available to retail before fulfilling backer requests. Note that I do not necessarily like this clause of the contract, and I probably would not have bought it if I had realized it was the same game as this thread's KS project at the time. Normally I would not support such a decision with my dollars, but I didn't know it was the same game until today.

The plan is for there to be many xenomorph expansions: Warriors (Aliens), Stalkers (similar to the Runner from A3 and Stalkers from the AvP quarter-muncher), and Infants (Alien).

IIRC, those should all be in sets of five.

The Crusher (Colonial Marines), Queen (Aliens), Predalien (Requiem), and Royal Guard (not sure of the release) are all planned as singles.

Please think of it this way: the more retail sales manage to go out, the more rewards Prodos can afford to ship.

I just hope Prodos learned their lessons well when it comes to dealing with a megacorp and their IP.
