Thanks for the reminder about bringing supplies!

I will bring my whole bones case, as I intend to use them as much as possible for RPGs.

ill bring brushes and my pallet of skin tones. (rosy, flat, sunny and a flesh wash) then borrow whatever needs to be mixed with those.

after some thought ill reserve the 1-6 saturday slot for painting.

Faces and skin + Blending.

maybe even a photo class on sunday.

3 games run, 2-3 painting events.

If I want more events I have to talk my wife into staying home all Friday.

I can't sign up until I get credited for running pathfinder games... ie it still looks like I will be showing up and convincing them in person I am running enough games for a free badge, and signing up on the spot or getting generics for games.

Do the painting classes normally have open spots/cancellations like the rpgs at this con?

Usually we don't see to many drops in our painting classes. We are expanding by one set per class this year since we are only running painting classes once a year at this point. Sunday is more likely to have cancellations but it does happen although I wouldn't expect to see anyone drop a seat out of any of Rhonda's classes.

Oh cool, I didn't know that anyone here was running a game! Which ones? I haven't signed up for any yet, but when I do it's likely going to be Pathfinder. :)

I'm running 13th age (full)

and pathfinder fiesta Saturday night

TBD pathfinder Sunday morning (part 1 of crucible of flame, maybe)

-erm guess that doesn't help much.

Things are starting to look...very iffy as to whether we'll be able to go after all. I still don't have work, and Husband's work situation has become tenuous at best. I'll know for sure by this weekend.

EDIT: When I logged onto their site to see if it was possible to cancel classes/registration, it doesn't have me down for anything. At all. Even though I've already paid for a badge and several classes. I find this state of affairs alarming.

Fingers crossed that you'll still be able to come, OneBoot. Which is going to make it hard to type tomorrow, but sacrifices must be made.  ^_^

And I'm looking forward to meeting any of the new folks.

I'll be in the painting room most of the weekend, I expect, and my name here is my name. Please drop in, say hi, and paint a while.

Yeah...it's not going to be happening for us this year. The professor that Husband works with informed him yesterday that their project will lose its funding very soon. Which means he'll be out of a job. This is not a good situation.

I'm still trying to get ahold of the Denver Gamer's people, I don't think their official contact thingy is working, so I'll try directly through Facebook; this time to see if any refund is possible (doubtful), and to let them know to take me out of the classes I'd signed up for (if I haven't already been dropped due to whatever weirdness is going on that I mentioned earlier).

I'm consoling myself with the thought that there will be other conventions. Who knows, if I land a sweet enough job, maybe we can justify going to ReaperCon 2014.

sorry to hear that about your hubby OneBoot. academic research was hammered by the sequester. i left my job about 6months ago to move with the fam and haven't been able to find employment since; no one is hiring with their funding seeing heavy cuts. i have been reduced to applying for entry level positions; my experience is a liability and the competition is insane.

otherwise, i'd be at the con with you all.

best wishes, maybe next year.
