How to Paint Reaper Bones Pathfinder Goblins tutorial

Recommended Posts

It took me a bit to get on track, but I finally produced another tutorial. Let me know what you think. I think I'm going to paint some Reaper Bones Dark Elves next.

Engineer Jeff:

Really appreciate the videos.

Could you devote your talents to making a detailed video on how to remove the mold lines from the "Bones" figures. Other prep items would be of interest also.

Along with the Pyros, I also painted up a set of the Goblin Warriors. Another Bones 1 set that had excellent detail and great character.

      Sculpted by Ben Siens.

I liked these little guys enough that I think I'm going to pick up a set in metal and try for more precision.

Going back through a few of the (many, many) unpainted Bones figures, I decided to paint these. The longer I spent on them the more I loved them.

The colors were experiments that I think worked pretty well for these guys and the details were excellent (even though these were a Bones I release).

So I need to do my Bones 3 Sophie for August because a friend is in town. I decided to also do a small horde of "20" goblins because I will be GMing adventures soon that require some (I think it's officially 22?). I chose not to paint the musicians & standard bearers that are part of ogre command, or the pathfinder pyromancers set I think I have somewhere in my vault of unpainted minis, because that's a lot. I also decided to paint some other stuff of use - the unicorn because I'm currently playing a wild magic sorceror who has already summoned a unicorn twice! a purple worm because I have been waiting forever for a restock, and some rats because they always useful. One day I will also paint up all my kobolds and there will be a great and terrible battle (and realistically, the goblins will win because there are twice as many).
Unpainted photo soon - the minis are all currently drying. I will only prime/ base coat today due to leaving for game in 5 hours.
Paging @buglips*the*goblin: I want to make sure I'm not painting diseased goblins. If I remember correctly, blue is a no? tanned through yellow, orange, reddish tinges are okay, and green too?

I made this small diorama for cerebro1974, one of my Fall Exchange partners. A few things he mentioned he wanted were a female Druid, Goblins, or a creative small diorama. In the inspiration section he mentioned a fondness for Autumn Bronzeleaf and that goblins are a part of his campaign. In regards to a diorama he wanted to see what someone would do with the words Coastal, Cold, and Danger as inspiration. While I sat there thinking about what to do, my mind put together all of the above and went a little crazy. What he received was a result of that craziness.

So the story is that some how Autumn found herself on the bad side of some goblins and ran north thinking to escape them. What she found there was that the southern goblins have northern cousins who were more than happy to take up the hunt. After days of running she has found herself with her back to the water and three goblins in front of her. But she has a plan.

      Any input would be appreciated.
