New England Paint Day

Recommended Posts

I'll try and remember to steal the wife's DSLR.

AS for what I'm going to work on it depends on what I've finished between now and then.  I've got Damien for the BAd Boys Challenge, and my entry for the Songs challenge, plus a dozen or so minis in various states of done-ness.  And there is a chance that I start something between now ad then as well.

I have the Grenadier Roc to work on. I'm painting it up as a phoenix, and the parts are already painted, but I need to buy and apply sealer and then I need to get advice greenstuffing the parts together... It's a bit of a project.

I also have a Ral Partha Earth Wierd and a trio of their lions to prime & paint, and I've budgeted 20-30 to pick stuff up while I'm there, if he's got anything really neat.

Oh he's got neat stuff.  Ooooold neat stuff.  Hopefully his Reaper paints will be there too.  I need more Brown Liner.  I seem to have lost misplaced mine.

Nice thing about the first is that it's payday for me.  Must remember to save enough cash so the kids can eat.  Ramen is cheap.

The Citadel has an entire spinning rack full of Partha blisters, and a small stack of old Grenadier and Partha box sets, particularly some dragons, and Pat still sells them for their original prices... $20-30 probably won't cover it, lol.

Don't forget the Chroncopia and Warzone, some old GW (priced cheap enough to remind you of your youth) and Enigma (not the latest one the old Canadian one).  Last time we had a paint day there people walked out with all kinds of old sets inclunding Dark Heaven Apocolypse and Dragons Dont Share.

My plan is to get other people to buy all of the stuff that tempts me every time I walk into the place.

ETA: Oh and the board games.  At least 80+ shelf feet of board games.

Bonus!  DM's son is starting his Eagle project, so we are rescheduling Sunday's D&D.

So you are going to volunteer to help with the Eagle Project right?!
when he has his times set, I would be surprised if Qwyk didn't volunteer for my Sweet Wm's (his DM's son) project

Ladystorm, congratulations and I'd help if I were closer. Zech's Eagle Court of Honor is next Saturday.

I'll try to load the car tonight, so I don't have to think about it in the morning. (Lights, paints, assorted minis, tools, glue, brushes…)

I tried talking a friend into tagging along, but he is actually traveling today.

Just to check:

I am not expecting to bring anybody along. last I heard Fanguad was unavailable, and nobody else was looking for a ride, right?
