 Right now, I can't commit to anything - if we do the Citadel, I might make it, but having gotten the news that I'm getting down-sized at work, I'm basically in survival mode right now and can't spend money on anything that isn't absolutely vital to my continued existence.

 Ya mean other than the fact my gut's taking up the entire right half of it, and I look like I'm about to give birth to the entire next generation of painters right there on the floor?

 

 As far as the money thing, it's strictly voluntary - even on unemployment I'll have enough money to pay my bills and still have some change in my pocket, but I'm looking ahead to the scenario where I still don't have a job after that runs out. So I'm voluntarily implementing basic subsistence protocols now (unplug every electrical device except for washer/dryer, fridge, computer and alarm clock, cancel cable tv and home phone, eat toast and peanut butter for breakfast every day, one Subway sandwich for lunch - eat half the first day, half the second, make one giant pot of soup at the beginning of the week and eat it for dinner every night, wear jeans two days in a row if they're still relatively clean, cash in soda cans, etc.) so that I can try to build up a little extra padding for when the bottom falls out. The cost of a paint day doesn't just include the price of gas but also food (for me and Spawn Number One) while I'm there, and it's not a necessary expense so it gets cut. Every dollar I don't spend is another dollar I still have. Even the spare change adds up. Like DeNiro said in Heat, that's the dicipline... < shrugs >

There's a picture of Matt (ReaperMatt) Clark in a corset floating around somewhere on the intarwebs.  The corset booth was right across the aisle from the Reaper Booth one year at Gen Con.  I won't lie.  It was a great convention to be working the booth.

I'm out for December.  I will be out of the area for the two dates listed and will probably be Christmas Crazy for the other weekends.

 And, as a matter of fact, no, I don't actually have a corset - I've never done the so-called "underwear parts" since I'm well aware that nobody really wants to pay money to see me do that. I do (well, did) have a garter belt and stockings to play Dr. Scott, but I consider it a personal gift to humanity to keep my clothes on in public since the audience is paying to be there and I'm not.

 

 Would I walk around in full corset, stockings, panties and high heels to play one of the underwear parts? Absolutely. I'm a trained actor. It's just a costume. But everything you do, you do to make the show better, to entertain the audience more, and not to cause them to run screaming from the theatre. I'd also expect to have the cops called on me and probably get shot by Animal Control, lol.

Who all is available for a December Paint Day?  I know that the holiday preps start getting crazy this time of year and people don't have much time available.  Looks like the best days are either the 6th or the 13th.  I was thinking of trying a new location.  The Battle Standard in Manachester, CT.  If not, I'm sure that Pat would be willing to host us at the Citadel again.

 

Also, I haven't forgotten about the FB page for NEMPA.  Just need to get around to it.  Should I also do a Google+ page?

 

I can't think of a conflict on the 6th, but feel like I'm forgetting something.

I should be free on the 13th.

 

Groton and Manchester are probably about equally far from where I am, so I can do either one. I haven't been to the Citadel in a while, but I have never been to The Battle Standard, so whatever works is probably fine for me.
