We should have our paint day at a taverna next January! Or find a paint store that will allow beer! Pat's cool... maybe he'd go for it if we brought him some? :D

I imagine there would be legal issues with drinking at the game store - licensing and what not, public consumption of alcohol - but I bet you could find a bar that wouldn't mind having a half dozen or so people at a table drinking all day.

Wait a minute.  If Aard is trying to use the analogy of being a baby bird spreading her wings...

Does that get to mean we can push her out of her chair if she sprawls too much?  Because, well, it's time to leave the nest.   :poke:

 Yes. Yes it does, lol.

It also means I'm packing her a nice lunch of half-digested worms for the next paint day. ::D:

I've already talked to Pat about adult beverages.  He used to allow it back in the day (when the game area was in a separate area of one of the old shops) but he stopped because someone being an butt.

If people feel the urge, the Japanese Steak House a couple of buildings up the street has a bar.  Saki!

*Technically* I think the law governs selling or serving alchohol to people under 21. I think that if Aard were to find a bottle of liquor "off the back of a truck", a it were, she might be in the clear to drink it in the privacy of her own home. (University rules not withstanding.) :upside:

Alcohol laws vary from state to state, in North Carolina you can technically get a citation for picking beer cans up from the side of the road if you are under 21. Not that the ticket would be likely to stick, but the law does state that you aren't even allowed to hold an open container if underage, doesn't state that said container has to have contents.
