Warmachine/Hordes is usually good about this due to the lip on their bases giving some buffer room, but Warhammer is terrible about it. Anything with wings or long arms (demons, tyranids, and monstrous mounts especially) though and there is no way assault is going to be done easily.

Those riderless kits for the dragons actually look real decent. Must...Resist....

They are pretty much exactly what I pictured, and do not want. ::(:

Finding it hard not to be snide about it, I'm afraid.

I do not want dragons with riders, and I do not want dragons with one piece of useless armor.

I want dragons au naturel.

At least it makes it easier to resist this Kickstarter, but I would have been happier if I had needed to wrestle with my common sense over this.

*EDIT* I know it sounds like a nitpick - but I already have a lot of very nice dragons. It is very frustrating, if it weren't for those danged straps, saddle, howdah, or armor plates... the Mountain Dragon is very close to what I want in a dragon.

Well... I will admit to a certain amount of truth in that.

But I would still have preferred being tempted. ::P:

And it was so close! *Whinge!* If I were surer of my skill with the green stuff I might have made due, modding the heck out of the back, getting rid of the straps and armor....

But that is beyond my skill.

*EDIT* Just to be clear - the sculpt is superb - the Mountain Dragon looks sly, cunning, and bestial. The kind of dragon that cannot be trusted. It really is only the saddle/armor and associated tack that annoys the heck right out of me.

And I have only just begun on the Heresy Dragon - lots of work, lots of fun, fantastic dragon. I am thinking of making it a Red, but I am about a million times more likely to use Green or Black dragons.

Feeling the exact same way about the straps / armor / saddle on these.  The replacement kit does make it more tempting, but I don't think tempting enough.  There are many other cool dragons out there to get less than this to get before I think I would pop on this one.  But I'll keep watching the KS and see what else happens.  But that sculpt other than that part IS fabulous.

There we go - some temptation!

The Tree Walker is sort of a remake of the tree woman from Ultraforge - which was a very nice miniature indeed. ::):

I used the Tree Woman in a Pathfinder game set in the 1750s - where she is called Willow Maiden. (And she is not one of the good guys!)

*Sigh* I want the painting Buddha DVD but I don't want to pay $65 for the privilege of getting it.

Anyone willing to pick me up one?

I'd help you out, but as I'm in Sweden I'm guessing it would be an additional $10, maybe $15 for me to send it over to you (unless it's just a CD without a case; that might be cheaper). I do have an early bird, so the base price would be $21. Let me know if you don't find someone on your side of the pond that can assist you, and you want me to go for it.

... only 7 more days to resist the urge to spend money.

These figures are wonderful and I really wish I didn't have so many other miniatures already that I'll never get to painting.  I particularly like the tree woman figure.  I don't have a use for her but she would be so much fun to paint!

If you have a need for amazing large centerpiece figures for your army, this is definitely the KickStarter to be in right now.  They seem like a great company to work with.

Plus their Canadian, eh?
