I decided to stick to my pledge of only a single mini that was already sculpted and done when the Kickstarter was running (the war demon), thinking that at least this one would probably ship pretty swiftly. But now silver backers are the last wave, huh? Oh well.

It looks like a lot of backers are upset that orders will now be shipped from Canada instead of through local hubs as originally planned.

That'll mean a very large and unexpected increase in shipping costs and duty and taxes for backers outside of Canada.

I can understand folks being upset over this.

I can as well...though I do see logic in "we don't want to take this risk" because eventually doing so might cause authorities to bring the hammer down, effectively screwing over ALL KS-s going out of Canada...

Yeah, it feels like there were a lot of grand plans when the campaign was running that just weren't researched enough. Doing hub shipping is probably an enormous operation for a small company, and I can understand that it can't be done (but it was kind of naive to promise it in the campaign).

Well the creater has pretty much washed his hands of the KS with minimal exception.. he checked out a while ago.. he's had some issues and i think he just couldn't deal with the stress and wants it off his plate

That's really not an option. You're going to still be found responsible and at fault.

Paid my shipping cost - which was downright reasonable, being a native Canadian who only ordered one bronze level model.  I'll be happy to receive my reward and no longer have to watch for updates on this thing.  It's been a long wait.
