All I'm going to say is I'm very glad I bought my UltraForge minis from Jeremy when I did as I much prefer them over these new sculpts and they were much more affordably priced too.

Hmm... as far as demons go, I've already got a vulture demon, pincer demon, a balgor, and a TON of dragons coming from Bones II (Although they will probably be smaller and less impressive than the Creature Caster models.)  The spider demon, with no Reaper Bones equivalent, and being the cheapest item available, is sort of enticing.  Interested to see what happens with Stretchgoals.

While I do enjoy the sculpts and would love to have them, I am just not in a position to level up my mini budget enough to justify a cost like this.

 

Bones have tainted what cost I think a mini should retail at, even if I know the logical reasons behind the increased cost.

You've really got to remember that resin production yields a superior product but it costs more to make. Really a very different sort of thing. Bones are designed to be cheap and good. These are designed to be the best detail with still some ability to use them in a game.

I do not mean to imply that the resin products are not worth the additional cost. I have actually decided that future mini purchases will be primarily increased quality. I love Bones for what they are. They just have made it so that I have to look twice at resin prices now...

I think we're going to get an armor cap to replace the saddle as a stretch goal. It was something we talked about on fb. He said it was easier and cheaper to go that route for now and sculpt it 'naked' later

Not sure I want that either....  But that is at least an option better than the saddle.

I am WAY upset I really wanted to back this and have been following them for months now.  I was even one of the first people there for an early bird but come to find out my bank has, without telling me, blacklisted canada and EU due to all the "fraudulent" activity so now I can't even donate a single dollar to the campaign.  With no credit card and having to wait for a hard copy of a prepaid card before I can use it out of the country it looks like I won't be able to back this at all....I am pretty upset with my bank at the moment

I had the reverse issue when I was at GenCon two years ago.  The way I resolved it is that I phoned the bank and let them know the hotel/vendors which I was going to use my credit card with.  It worked out fine. 

 

Perhaps this will work for you?  If you give them the name of the company and the amount you are pledging, I assume this would limit/avoid the risk.

I seem to be in the minority here. I actually like the saddle+rider for the dragon. It's different from what I already have, and pretty cool. (On the other hand, I am not overly interested in the various Chaos d[a]emons and other mutated horrors.)

 

I don't know for sure if I'm going to spend the money to dive into this campaign, but I am definitely interested and paying attention.

I contacted Jeremy about an identical issue. He said that he'd still be able to open up the campaign manager to me at the end of the campaign for paypal use. You might want to message him about it and see if you can work out a similar solution.

I've been trying to figure out what bothers me with these models and I think I've got it. Because they're really just making alternate gw figures, they are restricted in the base size. So...the models themselves feel similarly constricted to me. They lack depth. Again, that's just my feelings on it. But again, the detail is quite nice. Just too "flat" for my tastes.
