What sort of dimensions and occupant sizes are you thinking?

Well the minis themselves (buying them tomorrow with the new bonesylvanians) are 28mm to 32mm. The shoe, I'll most likely find the whitest running shoe possible. Probably from goodwill since I intend to shiny it.

 

28mm is a little over an inch so for a believable ship, it would have to be 4 inches tall. Then again, I can take one of my nephews old runners and have at that and just say that the ships in the 'background'. But i worry that that'll be lazy. @,@

It took a while because it was all handsewing, but the striped silver under-jumpsuit part of my version of this costume is done.

Well hey, the silver parts are going a lot faster.

 

I got a pencil box to paint up as the little box thingie on her belt. It's way too big for perfect accuracy, but I can fit my wallet in it and it latches. Otherwise I'd have to lug the ol' Winnebago purse around, because that original whatever it is can't carry much more than a phone and a credit card.

 

... I think, anyway. I'm winging this as I go along.

I'm thinking of going as Arthur Dent.  I'll have to buy a bath robe and striped PJs, but I already have the slippers, tea cup, and confused expression.  This will be the most comfortable costume ever!

And you wont have to do much after rolling out of bed at the con. Robe, slippers, towel and you're good to go. :P

Hmmm didn't notice. When you're wearing layers of under clothes and a corset, one tends to not get cold. O_O I'll look out for that next year though.

I had a shirt, vest, and coat.....I was sweating from every conceivable pore on my body. I could only wear the coat at the registration line or I'd be drenched.What is this cold you speak of?
