I'm really tempted to just bring sith regalia, but not sure that's close enough in theme...

More to the theme than my idea.  If I can't think of anything better, I was going to wear a Hawaiian Shirt, carry around some plastic dinosaurs and say "I'm a leaf on the wind" a lot.

Ah. Never did get into Firefly. Wanted to punch too many of the main characters to enjoy it.

I actually watched most of the show during its original run, was devastated when it was cancelled. And though I have the movie, still haven't watched it.

How can you go wrong with a hybrid spaghetti western / scyfi show. It was brilliant and fun. We watch the entire season about one a quarter and the movie about twice a year. And although I love the show, I'm not sure that it really fits the theme of space cadet or serial scyfi. But, fun is fun. So Firefly cosplay is super cool and welcome I would think. Just avoid Mal's birthday suit outfit from Trash. Family friendy event and all.
