there is nothing tasteful about Tim in a corset. Worse, there might be children, and I would feel responsible for the lifetime of therapy

Corsets are fine.  RHPS Merry Widows and other shenanigans are not.

 

I gotta be the boss every now and then and put my foot down. While I know this is just a good fun conversation, somebody eventually is going to decide that if we didn't say anything, we don't have an issue with it, so they're going to come in in something scandalous. I enjoy RHPS as much as the next guy. More than many, I'm betting, since I have 3 copies on DVD, have been to the shows many times and even have a copy of Shock Treatment - to which I know all the songs by heart (Seriously, if you can make it through this paragraph without getting 'Dear Blender' stuck in your head, you're a better man than me). But our venue is not appropriate for RHPS style costumes and themes.

 

If you were just funning - then no harm no foul, and certainly nobody is actually in trouble with Daddy.  But I do need to be clear that we do have tighter limits on what you can actually wear at ReaperCon than what you can say in this thread that you are wearing, if that makes sense.

perfect sense, and really, there is virtually zero chance of me dressing down as it where. I am not comfortable with showing of my body, I even wore a shirt in the pool because I do not like being seen by people I am not comfortable with. I doubt any of our other jokers here would be inclined to do anything scandalous either. Especially the Reapercon vets who know that there will be children, and child-like adults present

Even if there was a Miss Melons impersonation contest, though there can only be one true Miss Mellons, she doesn't dress in skimpy lingerie (at lest from what I've seen in public).  Any reference to RHPS was to access to corsets, not to showing way more than anyone wants to see.  Also, we have to remember that some of us need to get through US customs to visit everyone in Texas :)
