Bought some accessories for my costume, then I looked myself in the mirror after putting on everything.

 

Aside from the plastic walking staff, everything looks pretty convincing as a friendly neighborhood Cthon cultist.

 

If I were a character in a movie, I'd have my own theme music.

Checked everything over, and my costume has survived intact. I even found the glove I just could not locate when I was packing. Looked on the floor next to my suitcase, and there it was. It must have gotten mixed up with some other stuff I was packing.

 

That, or my costume has achieved sentience, and it brought the glove all the way to Texas. However, there's a greater level of spookiness than I typically expect from Spirit products.

At gaming and anime conventions, large, obviously unwieldy things made of foam were not required to be peace bound, but usually had a bright zip tie on them just to show that they were "approved." Ofc this is a different con, so rules may be different.

 

I won't be bringing Thrushmoor but if these factions continue yearly, you can be darn sure I'll do it next year

 

I'll be bringing Bewitching Nidalee from League of Legends, Mori's skirt (way too hot for the cape but I might bring it anyways), and maaaaybe my Hogwarts robes....

 

Duuuuuude, you gotta bring your awesome cape! After all the time and hard work you spent on it!

I got my reapercon shirt for Thursday...Friday/Saturday will be between political Sith Lord and mcninja, Sunday will be another reapercon shirt

I finally decided that I'll have to wear matching footwear when I'm cosplaying Sophie (I don't have a pair of shoes that I'd care to wear just one of all day at a con), but my standard OneBoot outfit when I'm not.

For barefoot cosplays though - get those $10 insoles from drugstores, paint some string or plastic mesh to your skintone, and make yourself flip flops! It's pretty handy and easily fixed for fancy photos.

Maybe Sophie/Oneboot does wear two matching boots (size / style / heel identical) but one of those boots is special somehow.
