topcyde
Has anyone heard any updates, or is it still languishing in the abyss of broken promises of which tiny metal mecha bots go to rust?
vejlin
Cavboss did comment recently, telling us it was still in the works. He has said that for years though and there is no way to tell if this time is different. The new strategy seems to be to develop the game with even less communication with the fan base than previously. Personally I would tell you to not hold your breath waiting and find something else to play. If it shows up and is awesome, great. If not you will have spent the time having fun. Girot
I advise patients. In the meantime I would check out CAV2 or Warlord. Warlord is GREAT FUN btw. So much better than some of the other wargames out there.

Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted February 14, 2014 Reaper User Share Posted February 14, 2014 As to the status of CAV:SO... there are no broken promises or devious plans afoot. A decision was made at the end of 2012 that changed what I had originally wanted to do with the game at the time. We have used that time to design new models, refine the rules, etc etc. The kickstarters last year also had to be dealt with and that delayed the game as well. Ive kept the chatter to a minimum to avoid the problems from the past as to delivery dates etc. I can say a major announcement about what we have been up to is coming between now and this years ReaperCon. We will have area set up that is all CAV for the entire show with two main game tables for larger events and a couple of small demo tables to run some through the basics. I know that a lot of time has passed since I took the lead but I have to work within the parameters I have and I think the product at the end will show the time was worth it. I hope people will give the game a chance and agree.
TGP
I like the new forum avatar: I don't recognize the mech, but I'm no expert. I just like BSRMs.

Bonwirn
GASP! Is that a computer model to be made into BONES?
TGP
GASP! Is that a computer model to be made into BONES? Steady... They had four mechs prototyped in the Bones material at the last ReaperCon. And computer renders can be of whatever color. When Spartan Games releases renders they are about that same color and they end up either metal or resin.
