Minis we would like to see

Recommended Posts

I think of the saurials since this week-end. I have a new player in my team AD&D² (yes, i know, it is old), and he choosed a Saurial character - a hornhead. And i discovered that there is no figurine like that, nowhere (especially a giant with a triceratops-like head on a big base).

Hey, cool for the Pterro-man ! :D

How are these different from Lizardmen and Reptus models?

More dinosaur like, if that makes sense.

Also, Hydra Miniatures has some dino men.  I'll post a link when I get home.

Yeah, Saurials are literally anthropomophic dinosaurs. pic, pic, pic

Some of them wouldn't be too hard to convert from some of the Reptus if you chopped some parts off one of the smaller Bones dragons, but it really depends on the type of saurial and how humanoid you want them to look...

Hello ! (sorry for my poor english)

I'm a Dungeons & Dragons MJ/player, and i thought of SAURIALS, a race of humanoid dinosaurs we can find in the world of the Forgotten Realms.

Only company that could make Saurial minis is currently WOTC. It's their Intellectual Property because the saurials are part of the forgotten realms. Dinosaur humanoids are generic enough that any mini company could make them, but only wotc could base them ON the Realms artwork and call them Saurials.

Years ago there was a Dragonbait miniature made by Ral Partha, but after WOTC took over TSR, they ended that line and the molds were destroyed for all the D&D licensed Ral Partha figures.

Yes, i know Dragonbait - i have it, and he is the only figurine existing of a Saurial.

And about the Intellectual Property - it is true and logical. But i'm not looking for a WOTC figurine of saurial, not speciffically. I'm just searching for humanoid dinosaurs looking like saurials.

After all, the example of Joshuaslater is good, Forge of Ice have figurines of "Pterro-men", who are very close to the "Pteramen" of WOTC. So, the other species could be possible too in figurines...

It wouldn't be too difficult to sculpt a Reptus or Lizardman into a finhead or a bladeback. Flyers and hornheads would be a bit more problematic though.

Male human archer, with not so much of a "Errol Flynn's Robin Hood" look, with bow in hand.

Usually one person in a group is playing a non-elf archer in the many Pathfinder games at my store.  Searching through the list via Figure Finder only shows two humans with a bow in hand, but one has such a wide stance that he wouldn't do with the battlemats that is generally used in the games.  I saw plenty of elves, a dwarf, and a couple orcs.

Also, I'll echo Chaoswolf's request.  I know of a couple people who like playing swashbucklers but don't like the figure options available.

I would love to see an expanded range of fairy creatures as well, big fan of the leprachaun on owl sculpt so more like that would be awesome.
