How about some chronoscope items?

A Ghettoblaster ( the radio not a weapon).

A PC, a TV set.

Trashcan, Firehydrant, Street lantern.

Abandoned car. Etc etc.

A boombox can change the world, but you gotta know your limits with a boombox.

The lack of modern basing decorations came up in the Painting Modern Figures class at ReaperCon, actually. Some things like bottles, cans and other rubbish could be useful along with the above.

Does anyone still use boomboxes?  They seem an artifact of the 1980s.

Likewise, computers and TVs will be dated.  Do you mean big boxy old PCs or laptops?  Do you mean tiny-screened 1950 TVs or big clonky bulging-screen cathode ray TVs or flat screen TVs?

Ooooh, how about a big 1930s style floor radio like one of these?

An old phonograph record player?

A jukebox?

A victrola?

A big 1960s type refregerator-size computer with reel-to-reel tape?

They are vital for trips to the drive-in. We even use a boombox *from* the 80s because all of the ones from the 90s died and the ones they make today aren't loud enough.

All good ideas.

And if a Ghettoblaster becomes big enough, it could double as a weapon.

I regret to say that Reaper is unlikely to make Fimir; those things are owned and trademarked out the wazoo by Games Workshop, and it is my understanding that the Pugh brothers are averse to lawsuits that they are likely to lose. And don't they already MAKE ogres, trolls, minotaurs and beastmen in Bones? My second Kickstarter box was full of the things.

Fomori, however, cannot be protected as IP, since they're centuries old Irish myth.

You are, of course correct; the late and lamented D&D plastics line included some fomori, as part of the changes they imposed on the transition to 4th edition. However, I would go so far as to say that the image of a one eyed lizardy looking guy with a tail would be actionable by the Evil Empire, and they've proven litigious about that sort of thing.

Ugly giants with two eyes, on the other hand, is vague enough that you or I could make them in the basement without fear of lawsuits...

In other news, perhaps I'm being needy, but I'd cheerfully pay for a source of streetlamps, the old kind, like the one that came with Mardi Gras Sophie. Even in Bones.
