Ral Partha Thief, Barbarian and Female Mage

So finally got three of the four figures from this old Ral Partha set finished, and I'm reasonably happy with the figures even if not so much with the photography.

I've still got the Northern barbarian, AKA the most boring miniature in the world to finish, but hopefully I'll get to work on him some more this weekend. Anyhow, enjoy!

I love all three figures, and the basing is simple and effective, great for these pieces!

 

I like the thief with the dagger and blue cloak the most, simply because you got some paint in some seriously tiny spaces and it looks excellent the way you did that. That, and I'm fond of the pale grey versus nice blue cloak.

First I didnt do him justice with those pics. Second when he is done and put away you'll look at him in a few months and say you know what he looks pretty good.

I just remember how I saw that in a post how he was one of the most boring minis you'd ever painted, and somehow that stuck in my head enough to want to paint him. Now having said that out of the four miniatures in that set, he's the only one I haven't managed yet to finish so you might be on to something there.....

Yeah and really, the figure himself is pretty cool. Plus he's got the nice big flat shield that if I ever can decide I'll hopefully paint something cool on it.
