Song Entry: Anwyn (3080) plays Stars and Stripes

Anwyn (Reaper 3080) here plays one of my top 3 favorite marches to play on piccolo, John Phillip Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever.  I play this piccolo part at concerts 3-5 times a year, sometimes as a guest musician in other bands.  

 

I shortened her flute a bit to make it more piccolo sized, but it is still a bit big.  At least she is holding the instrument correctly, even if she is lifting it a bit much, and her head is turned too far to the left to actually be playing. (Pet peeve about flutist in art....)

 

 

Here is the United States Army Field Band, with the entire flute section playing the solo together, which proves that piccolos CAN play in tune!!!

The red ferns are flowers for railroad terrain, I bought a package with several different colors flowers, and they have been great for bases.
