I'm amazed that the use of Model Magic isn't better known. I use it quite a bit for filler and a variety of other functions. He takes it to the next level, though.

Hmmm, on the less frugal side, Otherworld is running a sale on the second sculpt of their Olde School purple worm. While £40 is quite fair for a resin fig that enormous, I'd have to be feeding PCs to it on a weekly basis to justify the expenditure.

Never tried Model Magic myself, but does it really hold much detail at 28mm scale? The worm  mouth looked good, but that is at a much larger scale.

Not sure I'm keen on how soft model magic stays even when dry.

 

I was at the Hardware store today trying to find a thicker tube to get a 75mm-90mm diamater worm, and ran across this product...

 

Bought an 8' length to make a couple small Dhole worms / Shai-Hulud.

Yeah I'm an avid watcher of both DMScotty and the DMGinfo channels, I've even made a bit of scenery myself.

 

I recommend that anyone and everyone who do anything RPG related watch every single video they have made.  There are so many great ideas in there, not to mention cool end product that is worth watching just for the wow-factor.

I love DMscotty. Even though i don't roleplay with miniatures and such ( I am RPG gamer and tabletop wargame player but I just don't like Minis and props in my RPG games...Yeah i'm weird like that) but the stuff on his Channel is awesome. I might Build me some 2.5D tiles for some Song of Blades and Heroes Gaming.

Do you guys know the difference between this miniature http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/worm/latest/03009 that costs $27.49 and this other mini http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/worm/latest/20018 that costs $6.99? Is it a mistake? The tail alone costs only $3.72.

 

Also looking for a gargantuan purple worm. I think either the DDM one with a larger base or this one from DMscotty will do. The Otherworld purple worm is just too big and expensive. I wonder how big is the purple worm's base from GF9 Purple Worm or if a medium miniature fits in her mouth!

The first worm is from the "Dark Heaven Legends" and is solid pewter.

 

The second is from the "Legendary Encounters" line and is prepainted plastic.

 

I believe Reaper also sells this worm as a Bones mini, for those who want the economy of plastic but like to paint their own.

The Bones worm is totally awesome, especially when you consider the price and the size of the thing!

 

I've seen some of those DM craft videos, pretty nice. Liked the mine cart one, gotta make some of that for Warma-hordes. You know it is a big monster, when it is made like terrain!
