Heh. It's funny because it's almost true.

For those of you not in the know: The fine people at Reaper are not, infact rejects from a King of the Hill casting call. Most of them were perfectly nice (actually, incredibly nice) people who happened to work for a great company.

Well, now that I think about it, only a half-dozen or so people had 'Texan' accents while I visited.

Well, I've been to Florida in late June and late September, so hopefully it won't be too much worse than that was.

But since I don't plan on being outside for more than 7 minutes at a time I hope it won't be a problem.

That reminds me: While I know that most folks know this, it may not hurt to put it on the table -> If you rent a car, consider that darker cars absorb heat. So if you think that 80 degrees is hot, you'll want a lighter colored car that will absorb less/reflect more heat from sunlight.

Of course, we are talking about May... Um, what else? Weather in Texas: North Texas (Denton) is alot less humid than Austin which is less humid than Houston. North Texas also has more dust/pollens. If you've got allergies, bring your 'scrips. If you don't have allergies, consider getting some (joke).

Cars in May in Texas?

Leave nothing in them that you value if it cannot stand a kiln or blast furnace, even CD's can be at risk on some days. The color of the car doesn't make much difference under our view of the sun, many a pet and infant lose thier lives to this every year.

Cotton is your best friend here, it breathes, silk is ok if it's an open weave. Run from rayon, polyester, nylon, etc.... you will want to die if you spend any time out doors in these, unless, of course, we are blessed with unusually mild weather, or, *insert power/name* forbid, hurricane remnants (just the clouds and rain that far up folks, but it can be nice if the summer is a killer).
