The latest Savage Worlds minis look very nice methinks

Recommended Posts

When I wandered onto the Reaper store today I saw the newly released Savage Worlds minis sculpted by Bob Ridolfi and painted by forum member Wren.

They're really nice, and Wren's atmospheric paint jobs (all black and white and grayscale with a single color for accent) totally bring out their retro noir eerie preternatural look.

I especially like the a woman in a spiffy vintage outfit with a gun, the African-American sorcerer, and the mad scientist, but they're all welcome additions.

That "almost-but-not-quite-monochrome" look really jumped out at me.  The sculpts are pretty nice on their own, and i can see that these would be perfect for pulp games in general.  I really like Bob Ridolfi's sculpts!

Thanks! It was pretty fun to paint these, both to experiment with the limited palette, and because I love the fashions of that time period, which Bob did a terrific job sculpting. I can't take much credit for the colour schemes, though. There was artwork for all of the characters from the RPG materials, and I followed that apart from a few tweaks here and there. These are fun figures, I think people will enjoy painting them and using them in games.
