I think it was Reaper Bryan who posted about Kit's family making the news with their homemade treats used as a fundraiser.

I've shared on my FB. What about contacting Make A Wish. They help kids with non terminal cases too. Go fund me can also be useful also for the bigger ticket places.

Well there was a follow up at 4PM today on the news and it sounds like it has been spreading like mad.  Lots of stuff on his list is being paid for by many different people and my favorite...Weird Al wants to talk to him!  The look on Ben's face when he was being told everything that had happened in less than 24 hours made me squee with glee.

I was wondering how long it would take for Weird Al to hear about this. He has a great visual show, plus he's a certified genius musically and academically.

 

On the Ben's wish list site there are two donation funds setup already and one was for a Disney trip package put together by a Travel Agent. Already met goal with a single $15K donation.

Yeah I can not get the truffles due to my daughter's allergy issue and too many things to make them could have cross contamination issues.  I have told them before that I would still pay for some and just give them out.

 

Now that I think about it a cool thing to do would be let me donate some to military or something along those lines. I do the same with Girl Scout cookies when I see the girls selling them outside my Kroger.  I hand some money off and say donate them.  Win Win for all!

For those interested in hearing some more about Ben and his adventures but have not added Heidi's blog or his FB page. They are in NY, his Disney adventure is taken care of, Legoland is happening, Seaworld is booked too, and Weird Al has been in contact with the family. Also, Ben's story has gone partly viral; Huffpost Live, People mag, and UK's Daily Mail have all done articles/interviews.
