GameZone Black Guard I

Here is the Black Guard I set from GameZone miniatures (SKU 0451).  There was an awful lot of armor plates to paint on these, so I had to force myself to finish them up, but now that they are done I am happy with how they turned out.  The metals are shaded metallics, with silver as the highest highlights.

It seems that you have been a busy little beaver...the skellie horde (outstanding looking group)...the basilisk (it looked like you never really got enthused about him)...the assassin (another great looking piece) and your black guard pair (above)...very very nicely done. You did some great work on these pieces and it really shows.

One thing, if you're looking for a critique, is that I'd do some fairly aggressive darklining, even if only on the transitions from plate armour to chain/etc and to define the pauldron from the cuirass. (wikipedia is my friend!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Components_of_medieval_armour
