buglips*the*goblin
Isn't all french bread brutal? Around here a baguette counts as a lethal weapon.
Pingo
It depends. Pain de campagne is best for a bludgeoning weapon, but I find a good ficelle is best for stabbing.
Dan Goodchild
No. I can still get home. By law as a Canadian citizen I can not be denied entry into Canada. I had a snarky response for this but it would be a one way ticket to Beekeepers so I'll refrain. Suffice it to say that I'm glad things are coming together for you. I'm sure the fun times and great company are enough to outweigh troubles and leave you with a net positive experience. If you do end up overstaying the con by a day or so and are looking for something to do, ask Matt about the JFK sites in Dallas.
ShadowRaven
no, only time I plan to go back to Dallas is to pick up my passport, or head into the airport. Anyway. Thus far today I have gone on a reaper factory tour. Quite neat. Scored a free handfull of plastic warlord bases. (54) and got to see where the magic happens. Got to see the ventalation system. Not very expansive, but certainly of a decent size for a goblin.

ShadowRaven
well. Painting awards tonight. I managed to snag a certificate of merit, and a bronze medal. For a first time con goer and entrant, I must say I am a bit stoked. There are two others however who really stole the show. Corporea and Pixel. Corporea earned a number of medals, a bronze sophie and a silver sophie. while Pixel who, many of us have watched go from a very raw beginner to where she is now took a well deserved bronze sophie. Congratulations to you both, and to everyone else who took home medals and certificates tonight. You all did very well, and should be very proud of yourselves.

ub3r_n3rd
I think we all would love to see pics of all the forum members' entries who entered the contests and won trophies! I hope each of you does a show-off thread with the winning pieces.

Mr melons even improved on his painting.
ub3r_n3rd
That's so awesome. I hope I can convince my wife to go with me or let me go next year. It sounds like so much fun and so informative.
