This is true. However, that doesn't change the fact that my paint value of 20 is greater than the pistol case's value of 20.

Yeah, my reaper paint case is completely full and it's overflowed into my basing box, but still I don't have enough paints!

 

In my work area there's a lamp, a chair, and a small area with cups, brushes, and some letter paper for spills.  Surrounding this, like Smaug's horde, are an uncountable number of paints stacked everywhere.  I literally live in a kingdom of paint.

 

Also, nice to see Wren wrote these instructions.  Wren is pretty awesome, and did exceptional work putting Bones through the ringer to generate helpful info.  I will buy this kit simply on that merit alone once it hits retail.

I asked and was told that the new kit is pretty much a combination of the LTPK1 and LTPK2 old sets in what they tutor you on.

That is about right. The one thing they do that I am not very keen on myself, is focused on painting on straight bonesium rather than wash and prime, however the instructions are great. and Wren knows what she is talking about here.

I'm glad to see there are 6 paints and 3 minis I don't already have in there. Would likely be worth it for me... which is nice.

Yeah, that's what I'm curious about as well.  There's always a chance they will have changed their approach and tweaked the pricing as well as the contents, though.  I don't know about all stores, but I don't think Paizo actually charges you until they ship your item.  If the product & price changes in the meantime I expect they'd contact you to clarify what you actually wanted to buy.

What we're talking about is that a lot of stores have had it on preorder with a $25 msrp, with standard webstore discounts on top of that, for quite a long time. So if this is indeed the non-deluxe version a store that's been offering it for $20 for the past year is unlike to be pleased if $25 isn't really the msrp.

Just to simplify things, here's an actual link.  Looks like the MSRP for the "Bare Bones" LTPK was $25, and Paizo had a slightly lower price.  The deluxe (on Paizo) had a $50 MSRP, and they're selling it at a slight discount as well. 

 

Either way, we're probably stuck waiting until some time after the con is over before they're going to tell us what the final product details are, including the price.  I'm also curious as to what is going to happen to those metal LTPKs that are nigh-unobtainable at the moment.  Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer.
