Not for the instructional booklet, but I'd like to see the Hobby-Q painting kits come back. Hobby Lobby carries Vallejo paints, and I'd like to see Reaper paints carried in craft stores. A Learn to Paint Kit would be a great way to introduce new non-hobby painters to Reaper products, as well as provide fewer SKUs for craft stores to handle. I wrote to Michael's a request to carry the kits, then wrote to Reaper for the Hobby Q kits. IMO, I think angels and horses would be a better fit with craft stores audiences than orcs and skeletons.

EDIT: I think the KS II had some good models? : Dragon Hatchlings, Angels, Lions, Mouslings, etc.

I emailed Reaper and, unfortunately, they have no plans to bring back the kits. ):

I do hope the upcoming LTPKs have instructions to paint the entire figure. Most fantasy miniatures require techniques in more than one kit, so I think it's same to assume purchasers may not completely master everything in one kit before moving onto another. Particularly, choosing colors for a figure is, I found the hard way, not a trivial task, and may be something to a new painter would not want to deal with. since learning how to paint can be difficult enough.

I'd also like to see the Armor kit expanded to swords. The previous LTPKs taught drybrushing weapons and NMM. IMO, That's quite a jump. Most of the time I spent teaching myself painting after the LTPKs was to learn metallics on weapons, and color theory.

...interesting. Sounds like Reaper is still having brush issues, then, as that's what was happening during the Great LTPK Rush of 2012/13; they were chucking whatever brushes they had handy in, rather than those mentioned in the kits. (I received a 10/0 and a 2 flat with all of mine, except the one that only came with a 2 flat. Can't remember which that was.)

Honestly dealers pro brushes are my favorite abuse brushes. I was rather happy and bummed that I got a red sable brush.

The other brushless a 3/0 and its the one my hair devoured at work. I still haven't found it. :( the red sable I haven't used because well...I only use a flat brush for dry brushing or green stuff applying and I'd rather save the red sable for big area projects.

I'm not complaining, my 2 flat from the older kit is pretty shot to hell....and I think this will be a fun weekend project...I have a bones spearman that I might apply the bow techniques to, as well as the orc warboss

Please do more than me so I am motivated to paint more.  May do some tonight if I am not worn out from the brother-in-law and niece visit. I want to finish and see if I pick up a few more pointers for doing stuff on my  own.
