MissMelons
I wonder who's using the brush cup as a cup or actual cup in opposition to it being a brush cup... I love the brush cup as a brush cup or a cup but as a rinse cup it's great for travel painting but is a bit too tall for my every day uses.
Moderator Darsc Zacal Posted May 16, 2014 Moderator Share Posted May 16, 2014 I use the Reaper brush cup as a Reapercon pen holder.
NomadZeke
I might use it as a regular cup since I have a rather bottom-heavy glass vessel for brushes right now..
Harrek
I wonder who's using the brush cup as a cup or actual cup in opposition to it being a brush cup... I use mine as an actual cup. I like clear cups for rinsing brushes. I got a bunch of Macallan plastic cups at a whisky tasting sometime back and I prefer them.
ShadowRaven
I am currently useing it to store my brushes. I have a trio of baby food jars for my rinse water, Much harder for a clumsy fellow like myself to knock over. Not impossible mind you, but harder.
Sanwah
We use ours as rinse cups for friends who come over to paint. For my paint desk I have a rinse container constructed by an friend in the aquarium business that can't be knocked over. We have two cats who desk roam so it is important

I tried the baby food jar thing...the dang things keep disappearing. I think my family was mistaking them for garbage and throwing them out...
ShadowRaven
In that regard I'm lucky. My painting area is in my bedroom, and no sane person ventures in there. The team of highly trained ninja dust bunnies sees to that.
Dilvish the Deliverer
I wonder who's using the brush cup as a cup or actual cup in opposition to it being a brush cup... Or both? I've used mine for both purposes. First as a drink cup at RCon (tasty, tasty Kraken and coke) and it is now on the desk in my hotel room being used as a rinse cup. It is great to toss in a suitcase and go. I usually re-purpose glass salsa or spaghetti sauce jar for my rinsing needs at home.

Do you put your rinse jars at the same level as where your workspace is, or is it elevated?

Keianna
The brush cup is entirely too big for ne to use with brushes. That is a lot of water to clean up when I knock it over (not if, when). I tried a small juice glass the other day when my little jar went missing. It didn't even last an hour. :-( Edited for grammar. One for dirty water, one for 'clean' water and one for metallics.
hungerfan
I will stick with my whipped cream bowl for water and use the collector cup for drinking and/or storing stuff in.
fishnjeeps
I have a bolt that I use for rinsing my brushes with. It's made of clay.
