Popular Post Clever Crow
Hello everyone. I wanted to share some better photos of my main entry to ReaperCon this year. "Wher's Mah Gold" I had the opportunity to paint the original studio version of this miniature a few years ago and when I was painting this I had the idea of a diorama where the giant could actually be yelling at someone (or something). I kicked around the idea for a while and when I was doing another piece I was reminded of the awesome rabbit Gene Van Horne had sculpted in the 2006 Christmas Sophie kit. So I started brainstorming and came up with that the rabbit was being accused of stealing the giant's gold. So the gold was one thing but what if there was even more to the story. I wanted to make a snowy base with the rabbit on a small hill to bring him closer to the giant's face and then thought what about a rabbit hole and TONS of treasure he had stolen and then how about an accomplice. So I carved in some holes to the wood plinth and created a scene on the right side and a small scene on the back. It was a long process and I had to redo the base more than a few times but I am happy with the result. I hope you like him..
