I followed the link and explored their facebook page. The description:

"What is Last Saga?

Last Saga is a range of 32mm miniatures set in the near future, where mankind has conquered the stars and is at war with other alien races.

Our intention is to produce quality miniature, interesting to painters and to be brought to the table games as well.

The range of miniatures will be supported by a system of rules of which we will be revealing details shortly, but we can anticipate that it will be a system of skirmishes focused on tactics and achieving goals in mission, and it can start to be played with 5 to 6 figures.

The first models available will belong to the human faction and then we give way to the first alien factions.

Keep an eye out for the news!"

They have some nice looking figures and concepts. Here is the paramedic:

They have more on facebook, much of which is in Spanish: https://www.facebook.com/RocketGames.ltd

Did they forget to show off the third starter, is one of the unlucks supposed to be a complete starter, or is there any other way having a three starter level be the second ssweet spot makes actual sense?

I think both. There's a third faction after all the goals listed and something they've called the complete starter but I think that's a translation snafu. Though they could go the way of unlocking the individual models in the starter and then have a "complete" starter after that.

I like the look of the council.  The aliens....not so much.  They look too cheesecake-y to take seriously as an opponent.

On one hand I've dropped KS for backpedaling on their figures. On the other hand, you're right. I'm hoping they start at the matriarch level of armor.

I was interested when I first saw the concept, render and prototype of the civilian. However, with the mediocre concepts for some of the other stuff and and dearth of new renders during the campaign, I've grown ever more reluctant to risk backing.
