RENAISSANCE FAIR...Fresh Produce Market

DATA...This is the 14th open air booth/piece in my Renaissance Fair project...It depicts the Fresh Produce Market booth...scratch built on ceiling tile...size (10"x8"). The Reaper figure is just to show the scale of the finished piece.

NOTE...This was really a fun piece to do...the apple tree took me 2 full days to do from total scratch...the 2 pumpkins (cast out of plaster) took me 6+ hours to carve and paint.

NOTE 2...This will be the last posting of individual Ren Fair pieces...I still have the (Privy & Eve's Garden) left to do...but they will have to go back on the shelve due to other work that I have pending.

I hope that you (who followed my project) enjoyed this trip into my small fantasy world...I enjoyed bringing it to you!

Wow! There's a lot going in in this. Lots of little details and lots of eye candy here.

Really like the little birds foraging for food, wasn't expecting that and having apples in the trees was a very nice touch. The fruits and vegetables and other foods and display items look great and really great a colourful display. Even the crates look functional for their use.

The overall basing just has so much going on. No matter which angle you're looking at it from there is something to see.

If you can't tell, I'm especially impressed with this piece Paul. Well done!

This one is my favorite, great job!  (Of course I like food the most.)  It has been a real pleasure watching you post the individual pieces.  It would be nice to see them all together on a table when you finish the others.

This produce stand will definitely be the inspiration for mine if I ever get around to it.

I wish to thank all the die-hard members who have followed this project and posted their comments and feedback...all were greatly appreciated and I thank you for your indulgence. It was my great pleasure to both work on this unique fun filled project and bring it to you as finished pieces...For those who have requested a photo posting of the whole project...I will try to bring you a photo in the next day or two (of the completed pieces laid out together).

It's beautifully put together and the details are endearing. I especially like the split yellow melon (with birds) and your signature red speckled mushrooms.

The whole Renaissance Fair series has been delightful. I appreciate very much your sharing it.

      SO....

Due to Brain Weasels and other Real Life Issues, I haven't been doing much, really almost no, fantasy painting...
One of the things I have been doing is looking at old WIPs, and suddenly the desire to paint a DRAGON, came over me....

So here is the start of my new work on Cinder, #10014, in METAL...

Hopefully, I can keep up the sudden burst of enthusiasm....

So planning on mold line hunting, and trying to decide what color to paint this dragon...
As I am old school, the webbing between the back spines is leading me to green, but need to check the books to see which way to go....

About time you returned from the place I couldn't reach you minion......

      OMG, please not again....

any and all comments gratefully ignored....

Here is the big boss of the Bones I Orc Warband.  With all of these Orcs they are shadowed with a purple color.  I added some green freckles/sun spots for a little interest.

For his shield trophies, I included some skin tones and hair colors that could represent elf, dwarf, human, goblin and undead.  The wood planks and boards on the shield are freehand.  Kavorgh got a little extra love with the bloodstain on the axe.

      And the group shot.  Enjoy.

Here is another of the Orc Warband from Bones I.  He had a very bent sword, so I swapped it with one from the Bones III weapon sprue.
