Description:

The exciting Season 2 of our cooperative science-fiction board and miniature game. Now it's time to fight Aliens on their home planet!

Galaxy Defenders is a cooperative tactical board game, inspired by the classical Sci-Fi movies and video games of the '80s and '90s. We successfully Kickstarted Galaxy Defenders in 2013.

The rewards of that Kickstarter have been delivered to our backers a few months ago. Now, we're ready - with your support - to bring the game to the next level, with two boxed expansions unified by “The Earth Strikes Back†storyline - featuring the counter-attack of the defenders of the Earth against the Alien invaders.

By backing this Kickstarter, you will receive a copy of the two new expansions of our Sci-Fi game - Operation Strikeback and Extinction Protocol. You will also receive two exclusive miniatures - Niobium and Tritium - available only to the backers of this project.

I've tried to play it a half dozen times and keep getting sidetracked by the fact that it's way too complicated for the non-gamer hangers of the group to learn.  I really need to talk to my friends about their tendency to choose partners based on looks instead of something useful like the ability to learn new games.

I've given up and am trying a single player campaign now to see if I want to get in on this one.  The game reads good, but can't tell until I play it.

Peeps on BBG say it really shines in solo-mode. That keeps getting mentioned in forums/threads for other games.

I wish I hadn't gone to BGG. Now I need to figure out how to explain to my wife that I want another game.

Yea. I popped over and the miniatures don't look too bad. Three kickstarters are digging into my ps4 funds -_-...
